Chapter 2 “if your daddy doesn't bring my money in the next thirty minutes, I bet you, you'll kick the bucket.” AHEM he cleared his throat, adjusting his red polka dotted tie. He took a long drag from his cigar and then plodded out. Wincing and groaning I tugged the manacles but it was futile. Minutes later, the bald dude and bulry guy on red T-shirt processed in. “That chair that you are sitting on. Do you know it's an electric chair?”

Kaizer hissed and warned the man on his hunt. “Show yourself.” “Sure,” said the man. Before Kaizer could react to where the voice was, he fell on the ground knee first. The man threw a kick on the back of his right knee, weakening his stance. He was about to stand up again, but a glowing chains travelled around his entire body. It tightened as he moved and annoyance was evident on Kaizer’s face as he tried his best to unwrap himself. Unfortunately, the chains were too strong for Kaizer’s current state, so instead Kaizer ended up lying on the floor in an awkward crooked position. Face on the floor, Kaizer couldn’t do anything but curse.

" Towcs translated. " Yeah, I'm kinda curious about him as well. He's brighter than fire but cold to the touch, he doesn't burn the tree and there's no smoke coming out of him. Not to mention you can turn him back to normal by pulling the chain." Manor wonders as he passes out the cards.

With a loud clap on Kobee’s back, the man startled him, causing him to stumble forward. "HEY KOBEE! BRO!" the man shouted, and Kobee jumped, wide-eyed. The stranger laughed, his smile infectious and full of charm, a grin that felt like it could melt anyone’s resistance. He had dark hair and striking eyes—one green and one blue. A scar ran down his right eye, adding a touch of danger to his otherwise carefree demeanor. "Ready to go, old pal?" the man, who I assumed was Rosco, asked, a playful tone in his voice.

The cursed thing was already closing the distance again, black mist snaking out around its ankles like a fishing net. Finally, Robbie dropped low. I scrambled onto his back and clutched a fistful of his thick fur, my body hugging tight against his spine. The tension in his muscles was coiled, like a spring ready to snap. The man swung something jagged and rusted—once a farming tool, now warped by whatever twisted energy animated him. Robbie snarled and blocked the hit with his forearm. The weapon cracked and splintered apart on contact, then the man jumped back with unnatural force just as Robbie lunged forward.

Kenneth reaches into his back pocket and approaches the screaming man, grabbing him at his collar and putting a switchblade to his throat. He was calmly asking the man in a throaty tone with searing eyes. "Who are you talking to? Do you know who I am?" Kenneth glares at the man, and all the man sees is his dark hair and those dark sunglasses as he slowly pulls them down, exposing those death-defying eyes. The frightened man's eyes began bulging; he answered Kenneth's question by shaking his head slowly, nervously mumbling. "Yes. Yes. I'm sorry, Mr. Cole, I didn't realize it was you." The man barely uttered.

Luciano’s POV “Did you fix the chainsaw?” Lindsie looks up from the tool, his fingers slick with dark fluid. He gives the cord a sharp pull. The engine coughs, sputters, and then settles into a rhythmic, angry growl that vibrates through the concrete floor of the basement. He holds it up, the metal teeth catching the overhead light. It is ready. I should be focused on the task, but my mind is still echoing with the sound of Alanza’s laughter.

His head hung low as painful moans escaped his mouth. Abel lifts his head, Angelo droopy eyes meeting mine. Locking the chain brake I turn on the choke and push the primer button 4-6 times, I lay the chainsaw flat on the ground using my foot as I brace the chainsaw, leaning my weight on it to hold it in place then I pull the starter rope a few times until the engine starts. I bring the blade up to speed the sharp ends running, ready to cut through anything. The sound of the engine roaring consumes the silences. "Which one would you prefer me to slice off? Hands? Legs? Author's POV “Who are you?” Hannah managed to ask, shielding her face away from the man’s piercing gaze. The man in question was Alfred’s right-hand man, Dillon Chambers. He had a visible scar on the side of his face, one that Hannah could tell was from a knife wound. But his terrifying face was in contrast to his complete appearance. He wore a beige suit that showcased his intimidating figure, matching his dark blonde hair, with a wrist chain with a scorpion emblem on it.

"Who are you?" Hayden emerged from the kitchen, sensing an unfamiliar presence in the living room. His gaze swept the room, then darted to the perfectly locked entrance. "How did you get in?" The man sat on the three-seater couch, an oversized cowboy hat perched on his head. "Nothing can keep me out." He flashed an evil grin, revealing two rows of distorted, crooked teeth. As the words hung in the air, a shimmering saber materialized, bursting through the door and hurtling toward Hayden with terrifying speed.
