my voice is usually low. "Oh, it started last night during the Luna's trial, and ever since, Aiden wouldn't let me rest," Kristen informs me. She seems to be exhausted from where she's sitting on the bed as she nurses Aiden who in turn has his small hand securing her left bust which is completely clothed. KRISTEN "Kristen speaking," I murmured into the receiver and held it with my shoulder to my ear while my fingers busily typed orders into the computer on the table. "Kristen ." I knitted my brows, my fingers pausing as I tried to filter the voice. "Dija?" From the other end, a hum I recognized aroused from pity, filtered into my ears.

But there seemed no way of it reaching me as I sensed footsteps nearly approaching me and eventually a hand reached to pull away the blanket above me. My breath got stuck in my throat. “Hey… girl… hey… get up!” It was that old woman’s voice. She patted my back while I pretended I was asleep, she tapped my back again and I acted as if I was stirring out of my sleep, wiping my tears secretly and turning to her. It was dark so we couldn’t see each other’s faces, “Yes?” I muffled groggily. “Kristen is your name, am I right? Kristen De Silva,” She enquired as I gulped, not knowing if nodding or whispering ‘yes’ would be a correct decision.

“Exactly. Ava’s so selfish and impulsive. She knew her kidneys were the best match for Sophia, but she kept pretending to be sick just to avoid donating.” My youngest brother, Chris Blythe, added. I stared at them. Each word they said was like a needle stabbing straight into my heart. I only had one kidney left! How could I possibly donate it to someone else?
