Julian capped it and leaned back, tossing the pen onto the table like it was nothing.
“Done,” he said simply, his voice carrying the weight of finality. His eyes slowly swept over Amara, Victor, and Scarlett, daring them to say something. “Now, I hope your knees are ready. I’d hate for you to pull a muscle.”
The silence that followed was deafening, suffocating. Especially for Victor and Amara, who knew they had to kneel and call Julian master in front of everyone in this whole building.
