The dark red fur on its body almost stood on end, and anger and murderous intent was brewing in its eyes. Its front claws were making a burst of crackling sound from its bones, and they became bigger and longer! When Three-Tailed Fox walked upright, it was about the same height as an adult. However, its claws were as big as a washbasin! Not only that, but each of the demon fox's fingers was bent sharply like a machete, and with just a slight movement, a horrifying sharp light flickered. Caspian's face immediately changed, and he hurriedly warned everyone, "Watch out!"

I almost shouted at Kamron while he tried shushing me. He grabbed me by the shoulders and forced me to look him in the eyes. “This is normal in my family,” he said. I was stunned. Was he saying what I thought he was saying? Silence filled the air and we looked back at Mina and Kimia. Kimia was cradling a young wolf. Her pelt was gray with flecks of white on her stomach and around her mouth. Her eyes were closed and her breathing was beginning to slow. Kimia petted her and made shushing sounds between soothing comments.

It makes me wonder what abilities they have. David continued reading. "Kitsunes are the embodiment of fox spirits bound to a human body and particularly known for their trickery. The human and its spirit are one because they share a heart therefore, it is the heart that must be eaten. Their abilities include partial shapeshifting, superhuman strength, foxfire, and an affinity for blades." "Foxfire?" David asked, puzzled. "Pyrokinesis?" "That is what it says but the book is quite old so there might be some inaccuracies."

At least that is what I thought. As soon as I think of these creatures a kitsune appears before us. A few of us growl at the intruder. I’ve never seen one before and I stare at it’s beauty. The kitsune is all white besides the markings on it. It’s feet have socks that are a reddish brown color and the tips of it’s nine tails are the same color. In the center of it’s forehead is a a crescent shape and it’s eyes glow yellow. One of the bears goes to attack as the kitsune walks towards me completely unafraid. “Don’t attack it,” I order.

There was something so savage about the whole kiss, something that made her think of wild, dangerous creatures. Jamie closed her eyes, letting herself fall into the hunger of the kiss. Immediately an image slashed into her brain, a drawing from the ancient book she'd been reading. The sketch was of a wolf, magnificent in its thick black pelt. But the face of the wolf made her think of Miko Volta's face and the stunning impact jolted her out of the kiss. "My god!" Jamie pulled her mouth away but Mike still held her head in his grasp. "What?" His voice sounded almost like a growl.

Cami frowned, “Well, girl, today, you get to choose whatever you like. My treat.” Kiera shook her head, staring at Cami through widened eyes, “I can’t do that.” “I insist. Please. You are Parker’s mate and he is part of our little disfunctional family. That makes you part of the family too,” Cami reached across the space in the car, grasping Kiera's hand a squeezing. I watched her eyes glass over, but she quickly blinked away any tears, “I, uhm, thank you.” Cami smiled a wide, bright smile, “I’ve never personally met a fox before. Do you have a counterpart like us wolves do? Felicity told me how absolutely stunning you were transformed.”

“Hooked nothing but weed and an old towel.” Kim’s pulse ticked at the ordinary detail; it grounded him in the right place, the right night. “I packed up, headed for Mascot,” he went on. “Then… I think I hit something. An animal.” Kim’s voice stayed even. “What kind of animal?” A picture swam up, blurry but bright. “A dog,” he said slowly. “A large, white dog.” Kim’s face tightened—too quick to hide. Leslie saw it. “What is it, Kim?”

To hunt. Kitsunes were supposed to be extinct. His grandfather had told him stories about the hunts, about how dangerous and cunning the fox spirits were. How they deceived and destroyed entire packs. This one wasn't getting away. Noah shifted mid stride, his body transforming seamlessly into his wolf form. His clothes tore away as he sprinted across the field and into the woods. The scent trail was fresh, sharp, and intoxicatingly strong. The kitsune was fast. Faster than any werewolf Noah had ever chased. It weaved through the trees with impossible grace, its nine tails streaming behind it like ribbons of white flame.

It's not that he has never been attacked by foxes,, he has been attacked a couple of times and he killed most of them using to his power. The strength of the half human half foxes could not be compared to that of the grade one species. The foxes knew of his existence but they found it difficult to know his location. They knew that he had killed very many foxes and they wanted to take revenge on him.

"Ember, don't be afraid." Looking at the beautiful fox on one of the top branches of the tree, Adolf assured. Maryn stared at the fox and muttered, "It indeed has a striking coat of fur that is marbled with white, black and blue. Its Amber eyes are glowing so beautifully, it has a really eye-catching appearance. It's a rare fox that looks so cute... I thought it was a husky but..." "Ember, don't panic."
