I put my hands under the water streaming out of the faucet, scrubbing at my chest and arms, watching the red blood of thousands wash off of me. I dunked my head under the faucet next, trying to wash out the knots and clumps of blood. Of course, if something doesn't come out, I can just cut it out. I try my best to keep my hair short, but when the nightmare master has control, it ends up growing too long. I'm not really sure why I still bother to cut it because not only does it grow too long, but no matter how much I wash it, the tint of red in my black hair never goes away. My scalp was itching and my neck was starting to ache from the sink, but finally, it was time for the big reveal. The stylists led us back to the chairs for the final drying and setting. I took my hair in my hands as I smiled at its color. Its color was a bright orange not exactly red as in blood color. "I don't know why. But I like it. I don't have to justify my actions with him or anyone else. He looks up, startled and the blush is back. "I'm sorry," he says softly and pulls his beanie off his head, revealing a shock of red hair. Although Fiona also has red hair, it is a much darker plumb red color and her skin tone is much tanner than Franny’s and Bobs who is obviously a natural redhead with his flaming red hair. I wanted to go ginger a few years back, but Justin threatened to divorce me if I ever touch my bleach my hair again…” she complains. I smile awkwardly. I hated my hair the most, I’ve always been self-conscious when it came to my hair. It was frizzy and I could barely maintain it. I’ve given up on its years ago.
