I grab a piece of bread, but before I can take a bite, Priscilla’s gaze sharpens, fixating on my hair. “Hold still,” she murmurs, stepping closer. Before I can react, she gently plucks a strand from my head and holds it up. “What?” I ask, confused. She twirls the strand between her fingers, her brows furrowing. “You’ve got a white streak coming in.” I freeze. “What?” She holds it out for me to see. It’s unmistakable—a stark silver strand mixed among my blonde locks. "There's more...it's concentrated in the areas above your left ear."

Brinn warned. "Perhaps I should do it," Renat offered. "Thank you, but no." With her hand over the red jewel, Mairwen combed the ends of her hair. The affected piece turned the same shade as the stone. She tried putting her hand over the different colored gems, and each one revealed a streak of hair matching its hue. By the end, Mairwen had a rainbow of colors along the base of her gorgeous coif. "It is a magical hair colorant!" she exclaimed triumphantly.

The distinction is everything. She has red hair. The first thing I saw. It’s still the most important thing. That specific auburn against all this grey, a color that refuses to blend in. I have been watching it for twelve weeks, studying it the way a man studies a piece of land he intends to own. I know its weight. My purple one has begun to chip at the edges and I didn't want to look cheap and inexperienced to the directors so I'll just go along with a matching look… Red dress, red nails, red lipstick and not to forget, my long red hair. I'd gone from dyeing it black, purple, blonde and even pink to leaving it in a vicious red. I did my makeup, making sure it was not too heavy and not too light. At first, I thought maybe she was scared I’d get bullied. I mean, it wasn’t normal for a child to have white hair like mine. And no, it wasn’t pale blonde — it was pure, shimmering silver. The kind that looked too unnatural, even for werewolves.

I say. She nods her head and begins to get to work. It seems like it takes forever for her to cut my hair down to the length that we want. As she takes inches off my hair, it seems to get lighter and lighter. No wonder people like their hair shorter. Once she is satisfied with my length, she moves back to Scarlett to wash her hair out. They talk of hair styles for her while washing out the color. When they return, I am shocked to see that Scarlett's hair is a dark, almost midnight blue. The color is amazing.

“Just the one.” “All right,” he says, gesturing to the man standing behind him. “Bring them all.” They line up in neat rows and bow their heads. In all honesty, I don’t care. My eyes search for just one. “Red hair,” I say. “Green eyes. A bit of freckles.” Silence. Anya’s face drains of color before it floods with rage. She knows exactly who I’m talking about. In fact, they all do because they shift amongst themselves.

I preferred my red hair. "Alexander has a type, now let's go before we miss the main event." He said as he took the drink. "A type?" I asked as I looked at myself. I was his type so why wouldn't they make me have red hair. "Yea he has types of Goddesses that he plays with and most have blonde hair." His words had me stiffening as I stared at myself. My yellow eyes made me look magestic and the blonde hair added to my sexual appeal. I hated it. Not to mention it looked like I was taller.
