He looked quite different but I could still see the passionate wildness that had made him so intriguing when he'd been pressed against the wall of my hotel room. Kyle – though I still didn't know his last name – was speaking quietly into a wireless headset, his fingers flying across the screen of his tablet as he coordinated what sounded like security arrangements. He looked every inch the competent executive assistant, completely different from the man who had moaned my name while I'd taken him apart with pleasure.

32 3RD POV. Kyle drags his feet weakly as he nears Kade, who’s found a branch within the woods to sit on while he sips his coffee. “I wonder how you’re peaceful here, mute and static.” Kyle speaks out with a sense of pain in his voice. “I feel bored.”

his voice called after me. I pretended not to hear, mounting the porch steps with deliberate focus. "Imogen," he tried again, closer this time. "Hold up." My hand froze on the doorknob. I took a breath, arranged my face into a mask of mild disinterest, and turned. "What?" I asked, the picture of polite indifference. Kyle stood at the bottom of the steps, wood still balanced in his arms, a thin sheen of sweat making his skin glow in the afternoon light. His amber eyes, the signature Williams trait, studied me with an intensity that made me want to disappear into the floorboards.

His hair was neat, his clothes immaculate, but his eyes burned with cold fury. My heart pounded so hard I could hear it in my ears. “You,” he said softly. “I should have known Damon would send the one person desperate enough to risk this.” I didn’t move or breathe. He stepped into the room, closing the door behind him with a soft click. “You think you’re clever,” Kyle continued, circling the desk. “You think you can sneak into my den and crawl back to Damon with proof.” He laughed, low and sharp. “You’ve learned nothing.”

"He said he was at the 'library.' Kyle Bennett has a break on Tuesdays at that time. I checked his schedule online." "Why are you checking his schedule?" I asked while staring at him. "Because I'm observant," David said with a shrug. "And also because he posted a photo of a coffee cup that day, and the table looked like the ones in the library basement." "See?" I said, eagerly latching onto the lifeline David had unknowingly thrown out. "It makes sense." Sarah narrowed her eyes before looking from David back to the photo on her phone, taking a moment to zoom in on Kyle’s hand resting on my waist.

Alessa stuttered. “See, not great having people assume things about you, and you seem to make a lot of assumptions about me.” Kyle started walking away before stopping and adding, “Your neck looks better, good,” before fully disappearing. Her imagination started to run wild again, as Dream Kyle’s thumb traced her neck and kissed her scar. Alessa closed her eyes and let fantasy Kyle continue. There was no point stopping it. Kyle Danny just couldn't quit popping up in her head. ****

He clicked his tongue as if feeling disappointed. “You do know I can kill you right here and no one will ever find your corpse, right?” Kyle said in a dark threatening tone. “How can I not know what you are capable of doing? But do you think by killing me here, no one will notice my absence? Do you think no one is actually watching us as we speak? Do you think, I am the only one who knows your secret?” he asked and chuckled lightly. “I am a time bomb Kyle. I can explode anytime so do not underestimate what I am also capable of doing. I can’t wait to see what you are scheming now, and I can’t wait to see you go down into the depths of hell hole you resurrected from.”

“Dang it!“ He whispered under his breath but Sarah could hear them and she laughed out at his frustration. Chloe handed Kyle the file they could lay their hands on, “Wait here, I'll be right back.“ Kyle said before teleporting to Sean and Sarah “Ohh, they are here already!“ Kyle said and the duo looked back at him, he handed them the file and went back to Chloe. Paul and Cassie got to the biggest hall in the building where they had rescued Ben from, with a kick from Paul the iron door broke paving way for them just then Kyle, Ben and Chloe arrived by their side. Which made her wonder as she clicked the mouse and once again advanced through video of the waiting room (seeing no little boy, no bathroom footage) where the hell was Kyle? She bit the inside of her cheek, worry twisting her guts. Hated to admit it but she felt something for that stupid-ass kid. Kyle had only worked here for a few months and mostly he was like the rest of his generation: lazy, self-centered and cynical without the life-experience.
