Kyle was crawling on the floor while holding a bottle of beer. “I am a worm~” Kyle said. Chyalen was crying and laughing like a crazy man. “It hurts! It hurts so bad!” he sobbed. “But I am not alone because Vincent was rejected too! Haha!” He laughed all of a sudden. And the worst part was… when I saw Vincent dancing Salsa on the corner. “What the f*ck,” I gasped with goosebumps all over my body. I would rather see a ghost than watch them more.

I say. "You too." Mr. Williamson smiles. "Marie can I please have a word with you?" Karter says and I nod. "Kyle you wouldn't mind keeping Mr. Williamson company would you?" Karter asks Kyle. I try to hold back my laughter as I look at Kyle. "Not at all sir." Kyle says and flashes a huge fake smile at Karter. Karter and I walk away from Kyle and Mr. Williamson. "Thank God I finally got rid of that guy." Karter says once we're far from them.

I asked, my smooth, charming tone a stark contrast to the deadly seriousness of our conversation. Kyle proceeded into the room, his tall, athletic frame gliding effortlessly across the floor. He reached for a bottle of red wine from the top cabinet, his dark hair perfectly styled, and his chiseled features illuminated by the soft light. “He did look scared when we spoke to him earlier on, and I hope he stays away from our business from now on," Kyle said, his calm, patient tone reassuring.

It always felt better to be around his kind. They parted ways respectfully, and as Kyle walked down the middle, they closed up the alley way again. Kyle approached the rear of the ship, hidden from the public. Several more of his kind stood by it, and when they saw him approaching, they immediately got to work. They lowered a huge ramp in the side of the hull, and began to wheel down an immense carton, boxed up in plywood. Ten men rolled the massive carton slowly down the ramp, down to the cobblestone sidewalk. Kyle came up to it.

"It’s too late now, isn’t it?" "Yes," the boys said in unison. "Too bad," Kyle said, trying to keep his smile. "Is it okay if we watch TV until we go home?" Troy asked. "Sure. I’ll take you home later." Kyle picked up the remote and turned on the TV. "Cartoons?" he offered. "We actually watch National Geographic Kids," Troy replied. "Really?" Kyle was surprised. "Cartoons are for babies," Tristan said, grimacing. "Indeed," Kyle nodded. "That’s good to hear."

Kyle who was busy playing video game had also stopped abruptly and stared at his brother. "Ah yes. He's in the military, but that shouldn't bother me." I shrugged casually and all of them stared at me like I grew a yellow minion head or transformed into a unicorn which would actually be cool. I quickly continued to divert the topic, "Katy completed her education and recently brought a pretty, little house over here." "Where is your mommy?" Kyle asked in a high pitched voice and his nose was now buried in the bowl of vanilla ice cream. Carla snatched the bowl and knocked his head lightly. "Kyle, eat properly with a spoon. And apologise to Amelia, you shouldn't be asking personal details."

In a few minutes, they were already on the road, Kyle’s phone beeped, he opened it to see *Caro* in their group chat. Caro: Kyle please make sure you kiss him okay? Kyle: this isn’t a date! I don’t know if his gang is waiting for us on the trail? What if they kill me? Lizzy: don’t worry nothing is going to happen to you Caro: Don’t encourage him Lizzy, let him die a happy man. Kyle nearly choked on air trying not to laugh. “You seem to be having an intense conversation” Damien spoke, with his eyes flickering toward him briefly.

I went to stand up to greet them but I was having some difficulty getting my balance. “No one, Luna, please stay laying down. I understand you are not having the easiest pregnancy.” Kyle came forward to shake my hand. He was the definition of tall, dark and handsome. His black stubble beard lined his jaw over his chocolate covered skin. He was bald and reminded me of Shemar Moore. I stick close to the lockers, avoiding open spaces, my heart jumping at every laugh that sounds too close. Almost there. I can see my classroom door. A few more steps and I’m safe. Invisible again. Then the energy shifts. I feel it before I see him. The air tightens, like the hallway inhales all at once. Laughter sharpens. Voices grow louder, more confident. I look up. Owen Kyle appears at the far end of the hall, surrounded by his friends. Tall. Relaxed. Untouchable. He walks like he has nowhere else to be and all the time in the world to get there.

A handsome light skinned man walks in and stares at us with an amusing expression. I blush and bury my face in the crook of Xavior's neck. "You must be the famous Victoria that Xavior cannot shut up about" I hear the man's voice speak behind me. I turn around to see he has his hand out.
