He has always been the impatient one. “Finally! Let’s go already,” he says as he rushes out the door towards the car. Skye and I giggle as we follow him, climbing in the back seat. Xander drives to his best friend’s house. Kyle and Xander were born on the same day and have been inseparable ever since. It’s always been the four us with the occasional fling attached. “Who is ready for senior year,” yells Kyle as he hops in the car. Kyle is sporting his football jersey along with Xander. Skye and I are in our cheer uniforms as today we will be having a prep rally to celebrate the first day of school.

I heard a commotion coming from some of the office girls across the room which broke me out of my mind swirl. “Have you seen Mr. Hottie out there with the super sports car.” One of them gushed. Please don’t let this be Logan. I thought. The girls were all gushing over some guy outside. I looked over one of their shoulders and sighed. “Leah, isn’t that the guy who was at the bar last week?” One of my closest colleagues asked me a little too loudly, to drop me in it. “Yeah, that’s Logan Carter.”

I ask nobody in particular. “I do not know, sweetheart, but we will figure it out,” Carter says as he pulls me into his arms. Kyle takes a step away from us, “I am going to get going back to my Pack. With all this craziness I feel a need to be close to home,” he says as he turns to walk away. “Thank you, Kyle,” I say. He turns, “For what?”. “For coming to speak on my behalf,” I reply simply. He nods, “I would do anything for the both of you; always know that,” he says as he walks away towards his own SUV.

I looked at my so-called protectors who didn't move to follow me, stood like statues, loyal dogs, Huh. I grinned at one of them whom I fought earlier before whirled to walk into the room that turned out to be an office. A man named Kyle, who came to visit me at the club that day was sitting behind the big fat ass glass desk. Today he was dressed in a white shirt and black denim. "We meet again, Xavier right?” I nodded, “Good to see, you made the right decision." 'Right thing? Only if you know.' I chuckled, “I'm quite sure what I want."

“Then who?” Arden swallowed. His voice came out small. “It was Xavier.” Kyle froze. His eyes widened in pure shock as he leaned forward. “Did he… did he do anything to you?” Arden didn’t speak. He just lowered his head again and gave a small nod. Kyle gasped harshly, covering his mouth with his hand. His eyes glistened with anger and sadness. “Oh my God…” he whispered. “Arden…” Arden’s shoulders trembled as he whispered, “Please… Kyle, don’t tell anyone.”

The bubbly Kyle was spoke up. Kate smacked his ass then. Kyle giggles to show his neat teething. Kate huffed when she handed the strawberry to Autumn. She looked at Kyle then, fatigued by his chatty manners. All she knows is that Kyle is the copy of her and Terrence hinting at an extreme nightmare. Kyle would be more than hers. “If my cousin was here, she’ll be happy to get another female sidekick,” Kyle continued his sentences. “Kyle please … don’t be so rude to Autumn,” Kate mumbled.

Back when my brother, Kyle, and I were still pretending to be Omegas in the Shadow Moon Pack, there were only a few who showed us any kindness. Aside from the other Omegas who believed we were like them, the only person who extended even a shred of care—a hand of friendship—was Carter Katz, the youngest son of Alpha Coleman Katz. Though Carter didn’t say much, he was by far the most reasonable of his siblings, and of most of the students at the pack academy. And he was only fifteen. He never looked down on Omegas and was especially close with Kyle.

He chuckles, directing his question to Kent and me, and we wince. "No," I firmly reply. "Can we stop talking about all of this? Kent does all of the stuff he does with the girls he brings home from bars. We know that, everyone knows that. We don't do it in front of anyone, so please stop bringing it up." I whine, and Carlo clears his throat. "It's not what you think," Kyle shrugs. "It's weird at times, but they're still ready to fight all the time." Kyle always acted as a mediator, not caring about what others did as long as it made them happy. He refused to argue or take sides in most matters.

Crystal was right; he was still visible. “Hey guys,” Kyle greeted us. He was grinning from ear to ear, holding a blue foam finger, obviously excited about his son’s position as captain. It was a little weird seeing Kyle like that. I mean, the guy smiled alright, but it was never this large and it was never for this long.
