“If you would just stop talking such nonsense for a minute, you would see that something is amiss,” Lucian said quietly. “No sounds, no scents, nothing.”
“It’s the labyrinth, everything within it is unusual.”
Antonio’s brash attitude annoyed him, so he stifled a response. As the labyrinth walls reeled closed, the sound of the creek flowed like it was paused, but that was not all that came. With the returning sound came the ashen scent of blood; a river full that he could almost taste it in the now dripping rain.
