Hours later, the estate was silent as Isabelle and Nathan slipped through the dark corridors, moving like shadows.
The guards outside the labyrinth were already unconscious, sprawled across the ground in unnatural positions. The drug had worked quickly.
Nathan crouched beside one of them, checking his pulse. “They will be out for a few hours.” He glanced at Isabelle. “Let’s move.”
With swift, practiced movements, he unlocked the heavy metal door, and they stepped inside.
