This seemed to break Lilith from her own thoughts as her head whipped over to us once more. “Yes,” she said, hastily wiping her wet cheeks, “but first we should locate where the portal to the hunters realm is. To do that I need to scry.” With that, she turned and walked back towards her cottage, with a wave of a arm and a gesture to follow her, she found ourselves able to pass over her wards easily and walk towards my childhood home.

I touch all over the walls, try removing the floorboard piece, everything, but can't find one ounce of a secret compartment. The elevator dings and when I look at the down and up arrows, I see the down arrow lit up. Someone is getting on the elevator from downstairs. I look frantically and hope I can locate what I need soon. I'm not sure how much longer I can last in here. Lower and lower the elevator falls and that's when it hits me. I look up and see mirrors upon mirrors. My reflection looks that of fear. "Look at yourself when you feel like you can't go on anymore Belle. Find the bravery within."

Ironically enough, she has no qualms invading other people's spaces as means of intimidation… now that I think about it, she only does this to people (Nick, for example) she knows who couldn't win against her. Whenever I'm writing a heavy scene, I was listening to Team Cherry's Hollow Knight OST: Welcome to Hollownest by Christopher Larkin for inspiration. Harry Silvers and Sean White was the easiest characters to write for me; Alastor Nyx was probably the hardest. Proserpina actually has a cell phone... she probably just uses it to watch cat/dog videos most of the time though.

The doors of the mansion swung open, revealing the magnificent interior. Marble floors gleamed under the soft light, and a grand staircase swept up to the second floor, its railing adorned with polished gold accents. Large chandeliers hung from the high ceilings, casting a warm glow throughout the foyer. Expensive paintings lined the walls, each telling stories of power, legacy, and wealth.

But for the first time, I saw the slight tremor in his hand as he closed his laptop. ​He wasn't protecting his Legacy. He was terrified of it.
