Luca’s throat still hurts when he burst through the entrance to the underground chamber but none of that mattered when he saw the blown-out ventilation shaft and the empty space where Lily should have been. Jessica was slumped against the wall with blood matting her hair and running down the side of her face, and Aurora was on her hands and knees trying to push herself up while making these small wounded sounds that told Luca she’d taken a serious hit. But no Lily. He stood there for maybe three seconds trying to process what he was seeing and then his legs gave out and he was on his knees with his hands pressed flat against the cold stone.

She looked around but found no one. “Anyone here? Lucy? Sweetheart, are you here?” Liara asked and kept the stick on the ground, only to realize that it was going into the mud. She quickly pulled the stick out, realizing that she shouldn’t move forward. She examined the ground around it, and she could bet that there was a large bog at that place. She turned around quickly, sensing someone's heartbeat and breath, but even though she could have understood anything, she was hit by a thick stick on her head, making her stumble on her feet. Liara screamed in pain and held her head in response.

I fold my arms over my chest. ‘I wasn’t paying attention to the wildlife, Luca was injured in a fight with a rogue-’ I explain and she waves me away, dismissing my response. ‘Lots of snakes,’ Mat steps up, ‘what are you looking for?’ ‘Lancehead,’ Ava’s watching him before she pulls her cell out of her pocket, she dials up a picture of the snake and shows it to Mat. he recoils as if the snake’s about to jump out of her phone before nodding, teeth bared.

Luka was about to set after it. “Luka, no. Let the rabbit be. We don’t chase after animals that are scarred,” she called out. Luka stopped and turned to her. Ava saw his searching eyes, and she realised he was scarred he had made her mad. “It’s okay, sweetheart, you did good,” she told him and held out her arm. He trotted up to her and let her pull him into a sideways hug. “Well done listening to Ava, sport,” Zane told him and ruffled his hair. Luka relaxed against Ava’s leg.

Lulu said understanding her thoughts. “I’m sorry,” “You don’t have to apologize, darling,” it comforted her from inside. Her wolf is the only soul that knows her and understand her. “Then what else you want me to do?” “I’m asking you to keep calm. You’re seeing the problem in the wide angle, just throw that away and see the size of it,” Lulu said. “The problem isn’t about the ghost haunting. I’m worried whether it would ruin my relationship with Xander,”

We cleaned the broken bottles and I picked up one of the shattered glass and it cut me so I dropped it and I yelped a little in pain. Luka was at my side immediately picking up the nicked finger and sticking it into his mouth to suck on it. I watched him feeling suddenly hot over. I pulled back my hand and pressed on the spot to reduce the bleeding. Leonardo was standing not so far from us peering down. "Go and get a maid," Luka commanded and he sauntered away leaving us together.

I tried to scramble away, but Luka was upon me, pinning me down with his massive paws. He loomed over me, his eyes gleaming with a cruel satisfaction. “You should have stayed out of my business,” he hissed. "You can only blame yourself for your own misfortune and stubbornness." I struggled, but my body felt heavy and unresponsive. My vision blurred, the world fading before my eyes. I could barely breathe, each gasp a painful struggle. I saw Iris lying on the ground, her small form a stark contrast to the hulking figure of Luka who now scooped her up into his arms after he had transformed to his human form. Archie followed close behind, his feet moving swiftly

My first transformation back took as long as the transformation into a wolf, but her transformation was only a quarter of that, and it seemed that it wasn't as painful as it had been at first. On the ground next to me lay a naked Lory. I was so proud of her. "Naima said that they are both recovering a bit after tonight and will wake up when their strength is restored," Luke told me. "Why didn't you tell me that she was changing and how did you block me?" I asked as I got dressed. "I didn't block you, Naima did," Luke said. "Okay, we should go back home and rest. Tonight has tired us all." I dressed Lory as much as I could, took her in my arms and walked towards our house.

She turned the side of her neck to show me a mark and my eyes opened when I saw it was a bit similar to mine, but mine was shinier and more precise. Wait, did she say werewolves? Wolf? I touched the mark, causing me to shiver and she nodded at me with a serious but kind look. “You are the Luna. You are Alpha Enzo’s mate.” What? Norman bent his neck towards me and Corey did the same, with Davina and Andrè. I stared confused and lost, it is when a loud giggle was released from across the fields and everyone’s head raised that I realized it was from me.
