Chapter 1 Luck is known to be a fickle creature appearing and disappearing at a whim, though there are those so-called fortune's favorites who seem permanently in her favor while others seem just as equally misfortune's favorites cursed with bad luck. But perception is a tricky thing; what may at first appear to be misfortune may in fact be just the luck someone needs and what may appear to be a lucky step may in fact be bad luck in deed. But that is luck, chaos personified.

Going through the double doors, the princes of Hell were all gathered in that area, staring out the window. The same giant ladybug was there, glowing like a shooting star. It pulsed, floating still, and then barreling towards the window where everyone was at. "Everybody get down!" Lucifer screamed, and they all dived down to the ground, glass shattering everywhere as the ladybug burst through, scanning around the area. It stopped in front of Loss, a glow surrounding around him. He had never felt this warmth, the way it went all over his skin. When he glanced down, the wound on his chest began to heal, the fresh skin covering the bones of his chest and ribs.

I smiled mischievously. "Who?" They asked in unison, looking excited and I glanced at Mirabelle and the Queen. They both got the message, smiling in mischief. They released the cockroaches towards them and then we sat still, watching and waiting as we continued eating so as not to be suspected. "Mirabelle," the Queen called fearfully. "Yes mother," she replied smiling, not noticing the cockroaches on her body. "There are cockroaches on your body." Mirabelle's eyes widened in horror as she slowly looked down and saw the cockroaches.

The division happened so quickly, it made Sua freeze in place. ​Rai approached, watching the phenomenon with wide eyes. "Is that normal?" he asked softly. ​Sua shook her head, her face calm, though her gaze darkened. "No. This isn't an ordinary worm..." ​She looked at her mother's neck again, then at the body that seemed slightly more relieved... but not yet fully at peace. ​Sua narrowed her eyes. "If this parasite can split itself… then the one inside Mother… may not be the only one."

Quickly taking his side, I tried to lift his body but failed miserably. I tried again, wrapped my arm around his midriff and lift him little so, that all his wait is on my body. God, why he has to be so heavy? I looked behind, to see many ladybugs murmuring. They have created glow. It’s like they are small fairies with shiny wings. My instincts told me to follow them, and that’s what I did. Following the light, I came to this small cottage. It was in the norm of the dark forest. Small, but beautiful, surrounded by trees and flowers.

She followed the sound until her vision ended up to the manor’s main gate. There was a guy, whom she supposed as a messenger as it carries a small flag with a sigil of a golden eagle. Her ladyship help but to be skeptic about it for it was been about three consecutive week that she was seeing such messenger with the same flag carried on his back. With the preheated duel for control, she couldn’t help to be suspicious of even the slightest thing. She pushed herself on the corner and hid among the plants and pillars. Peeping on a small hole, she saw Matilde receiving the letter. She even looked around as if checking if someone is witnessing the act.

He was here. The sun was up and in my eyes. The first thing I saw was a sheer curtain attempting to keep the morning light away. The wind blew, sending the curtains up to the ceiling. It was not alone, several werewolves leaped out, staggering, and started to run across the yard, only to be brought down shrieking by Mercy and Verina. Fine silken strands drifted out the open window. Meguitte reached out a hand and several wrapped around her fingers. Tiny spiders dangled from the silk. “Interesting,” Meguitte extended her hand and blew across her palm, dislodging them to drift out over the garden. The sunlight caught in hundreds of tiny sailors setting out into the great wide world. “Spider rain.” “Ah, Meguitte, my dear,” Connery called from within, his tone deliberately casual, but the tension beneath making a lie of it.

The good feelings cultivated through constant interaction with her junior brother played a role.
