Lana’s POV The valley was quiet in the early morning light, deceptively peaceful. Mist curled along the edges of the cliffs, hugging the trees and softening the ground beneath our boots. The shard in my hand pulsed faintly, its warmth a reminder of the vault and the trials that had left their mark on me. She placed the tray there, before sitting on the edge of the bed. “Are you okay?” She asked Debora who instinctively moved closer to her. “My thighs hurts,” She mumbled. Lana, who was bigger and more muscular, lifted Debora's small body and held her in her arms. "Forgive me." “For my sore thighs or something else?” “Both,” Lana answered. “Charles… he tried to harm Luna Chloe through Laura Denmir, you might be called to see Alpha Cillian sooner or later.” She answered with a sad expression.

“Did you win?” Mira looked down at the red-glowing threshold ahead. “No,” she said. “I just bought us one more level.” Then the lights went black. All of them.
