Chris Perez Selena Book 소설 & 이야기

I still couldn't fathom how a weakling like Piper would manage to have stabbed Christopher. “When did she become strong?” I wondered in silence. Selena, on the other hand, didn't look convinced by a word I said. The heat of jealousy burning in her eyes was a little too much for someone who cheated on me while we were apart. She must think I would never find out but I'd kept tabs on her while she was ‘exploring the world’ and it turned out that she had a foursome during one of her trips. “But I need her.” I continued in my head. My hands caressed her fingers gently as we both remained silent.

“I’m not here to create trouble. I just want to be honest with the late Chase’s family. At least… for my daughter’s sake.” She gently nudged the girl beside her forward. “This is Eli Miller—well, I should have asked for permission before giving her Chase’s family name.” Chris’s breath caught. “You’re… Selena? I truly don’t remember you.” “I figured you would say that.” Selena gave a patient smile and pulled out her phone. “Then… how do you explain this?” She held up her screen. A photo. Chris, Selena, and Chase posing together. Chase had his arm around Selena intimately, while Chris—judging by the picture—looked like an awkward third wheel caught in their moment.

Luke had already been intrigued by the amazing, bewitching creature that was Selena Perez and he’d wanted to date her sight unseen. When she’d clearly been attracted to him too, he’d thought this was all going to be straight-forward. Get her down and dirty in the dirt, have her admit that she wanted to get to know him, and off they’d go. Dinner, drinks, conversation, then who knows? Luke’s imagination had taken him to the bedroom, of course, but he was willing to wait for that to happen. The bedroom wasn’t the point; Selena was the point. Selena was everything.

“Not until it’s too late.” A pause. “You don’t hesitate at all anymore,” Chris said. Selena looked down at the document. “I already hesitated once,” she replied. “It cost me everything.” Silence stretched between them. Then Chris spoke again, softer this time. “After this, there’s no going back.” “There was never going back,” she said. She ended the call. The pen lay beside the paper. In her last life, she had signed documents out of love. Out of faith.

He muttered the last part of his statement almost made me think he was suffering from it, I would be grateful for it, if it was me because that would double my chance in getting Selena. “Have you ever thought of what Chris will do if he ever found out about that…if Chris ever found out-” I bumped into him since he suddenly stopped, making me glance up almost immediately. “What-” I was gonna ask until I saw Selena standing in front of Chris’ room with his shirt on. Christian gritted his teeth fighting what I’m sure is his urge to pounce on her since honestly, she looked so damn hot in that shirt.

Selena told him. Chris sure didn't want her to feel uncomfortable in any way, so he agreed and went to his cat to get a pen and notepad. He scribbled his digits on them and gave them to her. Selena looked at it for a while, smiling. She folded the piece of paper into four neat folds and kept it in her pocket. “Okay, I'll be taking my leave now,” Chris informed her, smiling. Selena returned the smile and made a slight bow. She watched him leave for his car.

***Chandler's POV*** The second day in London, by 6:00 PM, the bank issues were finally buried. The Perez accounts were secure. I was at my hotel suite. I needed to clear my head. I’d invited Selene over. She was uncomplicated, sophisticated, and submissive as f*ck. Exactly the kind of distraction I usually favored. We were on the bed. She lay on her back with only her lace undergarments on, her wrists bound tightly together with a silk rope I anchored to the headboard. I settled between her parted legs, hovering over her, my eyes tracking the frantic rise and fall of her chest.

She couldn't tell anymore. --- The next morning, a package arrived for her. Selena sat cross-legged on the couch opening the neatly wrapped box while sunlight streamed through the tall living room windows. Inside were two rare architecture books she'd searched endlessly for online, a set of premium sketching pencils, and a handwritten note. *Thought these might remind you of who you are outside all this noise. No pressure, just absolute inspiration. — Alexander* A genuine smile spread slowly across Selena's face as she flipped carefully through the first book. It felt good being remembered for something other than being Matthew's wife.

“Perhaps Perez should be disqualified before the rematch. He cannot even control his… pet human.” Silence crashed down like a guillotine. Selene tilted her head, the picture of concern. “Ah, yes. The human. So loyal, so… fragile.” She let the word drip with derision. “Tell me, Perez, how long until you take more than you should?” The laughter this time was quieter, nervous — but it was there. My jaw locked. “You will not speak his name.” Selene’s eyes glittered. “And yet his name is all anyone whispers. That you’ve chained yourself to weakness. That you’ve tethered your strength to something mortal.” Her smile was knife-thin. “Chains snap, Perez. They always do.”

P E D R O I watched as Christopher fucking Andre led Selena to his car, a lump forming in my throat. They seemed so happy together, like two puzzle pieces that fit perfectly. And I felt like I was on the outside, looking in. I felt like a failure like I had lost everything.
