When the doors finally opened, I stepped out and followed the signs until I found room 185. I stood outside the door for a moment, trying to prepare myself for whatever was waiting on the other side of the door. Then I pushed it open. The first thing I saw was Georgia lying in the bed. Beside her was her mother, Lara Kane, an elegant-looking woman with a charming smile. She sat in a chair beside her, and my own mother sat at the edge of the bed.

Finally the doors of the elevator opened up when she reached the second floor. Lara walked out and began her search for room 204— a number that she had memorized. She found a white door on the left side of the wall with 204 written boldly on it, she exhaled heavily with closed eyes and prepared herself for the show she was about to put on. She opened the door carefully and dived only her head in first to check out the room. “Hey you!” Ryan exclaimed happily on the bed when he saw her.
