Kennedy POV. The weather was bad, but I needed to get that new book, it's Robert birthday gift, who'd knew a grown up man would kill for the newest werewolf love book. I got into my car, drove carefully toward the local book store, they had the new book reserved for me. It was supposed to one quick drive, until I walked into the library. A girl was sitting on a bean bag, her blond hair was covering her eyes with overgrown bangs, she tried to huff them away from her face but to no use. She looked young, maybe she's just here with her parents, looking down at the book she had in her hands it was a kids story. Does she read for the local kids? Or is it just for her?

Soft yellow light surrounded her bed when she switched on her side lamp, Elara coughed lightly as she blew on the white cloth which covered the book. Removing the cloth she stared at the black large book , her soft hazel- brown eyes widened as she stared at the title of the book, her long dark eyelashes flickered as she roamed her eyes on that book. He stands, addressing the council. “Councilman, it has come to my attention that Beta Lara is currently a lone wolf. Luna Piper, a previous Alpha in her pack has offered to stand with her during her testimony.” He looks at me, then turns to the other council members. They speak for a moment, then he turns around.

The flames curled around the edges and slowly devouring the paper. But the words written on it were already burned into my mind. 'Katherine Lark is not an omega.'

He thought he was quite intelligent. "I'm afraid I don't follow." He said as she went back to the front desk. "Lily's book is based on the role-playing game Dungeons and Dragons." Her eyes sparkled again. "Just like so many others, she's given us a world to escape to. A heroine tasked to kill a dark sorcerer when, in reality..." the woman stopped, "I can't spoil it for you! You'll just have to read it." She said as she rang him up. Was this how everyone reacted to Lily's book?

He sat down on the couch, Arlene moved towards him, she sat next to him. "are you sure you're fine?" I asked. Lyle had never called me alpha, this was his first. "I am." " okay then, Mollie, please make us something to eat." " okay. I don't know what just happened, but that was so awkward.. what would you guys love to eat? " " just make us anything." "pancakes. Does she think I will come this far just to have a little useless chat with her on how her kids were doing and entertain her? "You are not serious, right? Because if you are serious, then drop this. Read the lines," She said, and I turned the book towards myself before reading the lines.

When my shift ended, I found myself walking toward the corner table where Kael sat, his laptop closed now, a book in his hands. I stopped short when I saw the cover. ‘Knot We Cannot Untie.’ That was the book he was holding. I can't believe that Kael would be reading one of Linda Lively’s books. “You read… this?” I said, the surprise evidently in my voice. Kael looked up, one brow raised. “Why? You think I only read racing magazines and bank statements?” I gave a small laugh. “Chill bro. It’s just… not what I was expecting ”

Ariel hurried towards where he was, and he was holding the book in his hands. “I have found it, Luna.” He was smiling brightly as he produced the book and handed it to her. Ariel held the book carefully as she walked over to a table nearby, and she placed the book on the table gently. Her life literally depended on it, and she wouldn’t allow any harm to come to it. A thin layer of dust covered the hard bind—a velvety brown color that had begun to fade, but none of that concerned her. ‘The Legend of the Moonlight Pack’ was boldly written on the cover, and Ariel opened the book, holding her breath unconsciously.

She's been making things difficult. I was in the library with Dakota reading a book that made no sense to me, it was about the pack's history, rules, and regulations, everything I needed to know about the pack before thinking of becoming the Luna. I had no intentions of becoming the Luna of this treacherous pack. “ I'm hungry," Elora yawned. I chuckled inwardly, glancing at her. I guess she was also tired of reading. Dakota also had a book in her hand, and she closed it with a frustrated sigh and snapped her gaze at Elora.
