Rise of the Phoenix Wolf

Rise of the Phoenix Wolf

Unfortunately, I had no control over the Force, or else the mess would’ve been much easier to clean up. I really hated every single person at that particular table. None of them were worth saving because they were truly just as corrupt as he was. They hurt others, stole their things, and did it without being forced to. They did it because they wanted to and could. Being seemingly invisible had its perks though. I often came across things that were hidden from the public. You could really see who someone truly was when they believed that nobody was around. It was then that their cloak was dropped, leaving the uncensored version of themselves behind.

that there would be a time when this information would be needed. A time when the Council's power would be total. She kept it concealed. For me. For us.""What kind of spells does it contain?" Tobby questioned, his scarred eyes shining with optimism. "Can it actually hide us from the Council's detection? From their magic?""It contains shielding spells," Sama Arthur promised him, a newfound resolve hardening her voice. "Spells of hiding, of deception, of misdirection. Magic older than the Council's own magical traditions. Magic that is woven into the very essence of reality, not simply manipulated by their warped experiments." She left the book open to one page, its script flowing and elegant

Hiding the Twins from Their Billionaire Father

Hiding the Twins from Their Billionaire Father

"Can't you see it? My sincerity? It's the same with this ring. It's invisible, but you can keep it in your heart and memory." Ava chuckled. Her head shook in disbelief. "I must be crazy too. I can see it." Ava held out her hand. Jeremy took out the invisible ring and put it on her finger. "You like it?" Ava brought her ring finger closer to her eyes. With an amused smile, she nodded. "It's so beautiful, Jeremy, and special. Only we can see it?" Jeremy nodded. "Yes, you could also call it the safest ring in the world because no one can steal it. But sorry, you can't show it off to others."

This book is amazing!! I cannot put it down. I disagree with some of the other reviews. I am glad that the story is long because I never want it to end!! Although, I’m only on 159, I love that I can binge read and am more invested with each chapter

Aloof and arrogant CEO meets firecracker Kara. Just started to read and liking their bickering and comedy situations. Has a bit of asian vibes with the unrealistic job demands and super intelligent twins but it's good and looking forward to reading more.

Rejected Outcast: Chased by the Lycan

Rejected Outcast: Chased by the Lycan

Helix asked me, looking from one side of the room. “It’s been a long time, and I placed an invisibility spell that even blocks its scent. Believe me, it is a very powerful book that anyone practicing magic would want to get their hands on,” I explained, looking at the shelves for any book seemingly out of place.

Married To My Enemy's Brother

Married To My Enemy's Brother

Authority redistributed, not dismantled, but questioned. When the meeting finally ended, no one spoke as they filed out. Conversations would come later. Alignments would adjust. Marcus lingered by the window again. “You’re accelerating,” he said quietly, once we were alone. “You forced momentum,” Lucian replied. Marcus’s gaze moved to me. “And you’re no longer invisible.” “I was never meant to be,” I said. He studied me for a long moment. “You’ll learn that visibility comes at a cost.” “I already have.”

Twisted Obsession: My Billionaire Husband Regrets Losing Me

Twisted Obsession: My Billionaire Husband Regrets Losing Me

Not for our engagement, or for Christmas, or even for any of the forty-something events I have attended on his arm in the past two years, not that I held out hope for it. I pick it up between two fingers. It is not mine. I know every piece of jewelry in this apartment and this earring doesn't belongs here. I turn it over and set it back in the drawer exactly where I found it. I close the drawer and smooth out the schedule while aligning his pen beside it. I walk back to the kitchen and pour my coffee and I sit at the island with both hands wrapped around my mug. My hands are completely steady though cold. That is the thing about twenty-three months of invisibility...an advantage I will say.

Promises We Made at Seventeen

Promises We Made at Seventeen

Name risk without dramatizing it. Quiet shifts. Unattributed. Invisible. This is how influence actually works. Not by being followed. By changing the field slightly so others move differently without noticing why. No one tells me this is happening. I infer it from tone. From pacing. From what gets left unsaid. That invisibility used to frustrate me. Now it feels appropriate. Credit would distort it. Still, there are moments of isolation. Moments when I want to say, Do you see what I’m holding back?

Yours, Stepdad

Yours, Stepdad

"Make myself take up less space, less air, less noise. If he could not locate me easily I was safer. I got very good at it." Dr. Vivian says: "And then you spent fifteen years becoming the most visible man in every room you entered." I look at her. "Because invisible men get left," I say. The words arrive already formed, like they have been waiting a long time for the right question. "I disappeared and my family moved and Mickie was standing in front of an empty house. I was invisible and I lost everything. So I built something so large and so loud that nobody could miss it. Nobody could look past it. Nobody could leave without seeing exactly what they were walking away from."

Married in Her Name

Married in Her Name

The word frightened her almost as much as overwhelmed. Leah had spent weeks surviving by becoming less visible. Lowering her eyes. Answering as Olivia when required and Leah only in secret corners. Avoiding cameras at Westbridge. Avoiding public mistakes. Avoiding old friends Olivia might have had, old enemies Olivia had made, memories Leah did not possess. Visibility could expose her. But invisibility was where Margaret did her best work. “How?” Leah asked. “Controlled competence.” “That sounds like something Elaine would write.” “It is useful.”

I WON'T MARRY A BILLIONAIRE

I WON'T MARRY A BILLIONAIRE

The specific quality of things that were allowed to be what they were without being measured against what they were supposed to be. Charles's empire operated in the open. His name on the building. His face on the company's materials. His voice in the rooms where he had always operated but had operated invisibly. The specific adjustment of a man who had been invisible by design discovering that visible was not what he had been afraid it was going to be. He had said this to me once. On an ordinary evening at home. He had said, "I thought being visible would feel like losing something." I had asked what it felt like.
