Her Toxic Desire

Her Toxic Desire

I simply left the page blank. The librarian, a woman with soft, distracted eyes, wandered past, barely sparing me a glance. I realized how invisible I was. To the world, I was just a woman in a ruined suit sitting in a corner, scribbling in a notebook. The fear of that invisibility—the fear that had kept me clinging to the firm—was gone. In its place was a strange, soaring sense of possibility. If no one saw me, I could finally be whoever I chose to be. I closed the notebook. I needed to move again. I felt as though if I stopped for too long, the gravity of my old life—the lawyers, the partners, the expectations—would find me and pull me back into orbit.

The Alpha King’s Special Mate

The Alpha King’s Special Mate

STARLETTE From the book I had read about the Invisibles, I learned their power was tied to a burning candle. If the candle were extinguished, their invisibility would cease. I had a strong suspicion that the candle burning on the stone before me was the very source of their power. Its presence here, in Silas’ pack, could mean only one thing—Silas was the mastermind we had been hunting all along. And the red-haired witch we encountered the other day was none other than Lila.

STEP ASIDE EX-HUSBAND: THE RISE OF LIANA

STEP ASIDE EX-HUSBAND: THE RISE OF LIANA

she said softly, locking eyes with mine, “the unseen is often more powerful than what is obvious. Currents move silently, boundaries shift without warning, and perception is the only safeguard. Awareness alone is not enough. Readiness to act decisively determines stability.” Her words followed me into the quiet streets as I walked home. The challenge she had presented was evolving constantly. The invisible tension between us had become a defining force in both professional and personal space. Control was fragile, and every glance, every decision, every subtle move could determine the outcome of this ongoing game.

Bonds at War: The Untouched is Mine

TESSA I felt like a shadow in this place—which, if you think about it, was actually an upgrade. Achievement unlocked: invisibility. Nobody here cared that I existed, and I wasn’t going to complain. Being invisible meant fewer whispers behind my back, fewer pitying glances from relatives who didn’t know what to do with me, and most importantly… fewer chances of running into the people I didn’t want to see. Unfortunately, I still had eyes. And my eyes found him almost immediately.

Unique story line, well written and very intriguing. Far better than a lot of other stories on here. I love a strong heroine, I love her even more considering she has managed to become a person who note only can stand up for herself and others but also isn’t afraid to accept help.

Does anyone know if this story has a reverse harem? I’m not into that and it doesn’t have the tag in the description but it’s so many guys pinning for her attention that I would y be surprised if it goes that route later. I’m assuming the story isn’t far along enough for anyone to know tho

Damned To Love

Damned To Love

I realised I would need to go down the stairs to get my backpack to get my homework done, thus still with the desire to remain unnoticed, I used my power of invisibility to stroll past everybody unnoticed. That was obviously the most outstanding aspect of being a hunter: the powers. All hunters could teleport and we could hear, see, and smell better compared to any human. We also were stronger. Those abilities were all fun and so on but the most astounding part was our individual powers. I could become invisible, it was one of the most useful powers one could have, but in spite of my astonishing advantage I was still no match for my elder sisters. *****

burn between us

burn between us

"Both of them. The character who sounds like you. How does it feel to be the material?" Dante looked at the six hundred people in the tent. He thought about fourteen years of being no one. "Correct," he said. "It feels correct." He paused. "I spent fourteen years in an organization that required me to be invisible. The invisibility was total — no public identity, no traceable life. And it was — efficient, as a professional condition. But it had costs that I didn't understand until I was outside it." He paused. "Being in the novels — being seen, accurately, by someone who knows me completely — is the opposite of that efficiency. It's not efficient at all. It's exposed. And it's the truest thi

EVEN ALPHAS KNEEL: The Rejected Mightiest Luna

EVEN ALPHAS KNEEL: The Rejected Mightiest Luna

Zara was dangerous in the way that loud things were dangerous, obviously, visibly, in ways that people could see coming and move away from. I was dangerous in the way that quiet things were dangerous. In ways nobody saw coming because nobody was watching me. Because nobody had ever watched me. Because I had spent twenty years being the one standing beside the most remarkable woman in every room and being completely invisible to everyone in it and I had used every one of those years to learn exactly how to move through spaces without disturbing them. Zara was going to find out what that kind of dangerous actually looked like. But first I needed Sera.

FILTHY SINS

FILTHY SINS

Liora Kane had spent her entire life trying to stay invisible. In a city ruled by shadows and syndicates, invisibility was the closest thing to safety. She buried herself in dusty library stacks, chasing degrees in literature and quiet dreams of a small apartment filled with books rather than bullets. But the world she tried so desperately to ignore had finally reached out and dragged her into its jaws.

Just checked out the first few chapters. The author has a very confident writing style and commits fully to the theme of the book. The pacing moves well, and the tone stays consistent throughout. Looking forward to seeing how the collection develops.

Uncle Darius definitely knows his game ... “Careful what you wish for, my beautiful sin…” already had me hooked, but “by midnight the altar is going to be soaked…” whew — that line was intense. The tension, the obsession, the danger? Absolutely addictive.

The Invisible Chains

The Invisible Chains

"I don't think that so-called system exists either. It sounds more like an excuse. If it were real, it would be way too weak. How could it work without even filtering who the person is? It just doesn't make sense." Then, he added, "Don't overthink it. This world runs on smoke and mirrors. Maybe she just planted some kind of surveillance device in your apartment." I thought what he said made sense. Maybe there was no complicated high-tech involved; perhaps it was just a simple hidden camera. I immediately dragged Isaac back to my place. Together, we bought a scanner designed to detect hidden cameras, and we searched every corner of my home from top to bottom. We even checked inside the toilet
