The last words scrawled across it in fresh black ink: “Another disappearance.” Vincent burst through the door at that exact second, his claws slashing and his golden eyes blazing.

For the rest of the dinner, everyone tried their hardest to keep the atmosphere lively. Summer excused herself to use the restroom and never came back.
