Jane, who wanted to stifle her laughter, wasn't able to hold it. “Ahh, Jenkins, you look like a comic flour-covered statue.” Her laughter became even louder, and her body shook from laughing. Jane was standing by the kitchen counter, her palm covering her mouth as she laughed out loud. She tried controlling herself, but she couldn’t. On her left was Butler Jenkins, who was covered in white powder. This was the scene Leonard saw the moment he entered the kitchen.

Shadow voluntarily offered her help. Everyone knew that Bunny, Petal, and Psycho were Clown/Joker’s favorites. He would be so anxious if he didn’t see any of them in front of him. “Ah! There you are!” Joker rushed as soon as Shadow revealed his position. “You are safe, you are safe.” He peppered him with numerous kisses. “Yes, I am safe.” Bunny laughed. Joker’s reaction might be excessive, however, due to Bunny’s past, Joker’s reaction was understandable, hence, no one said anything about that.

His eyes locked onto mine. “If he ever hurts you again…” His words dropped like a stone in my chest, and I froze. “I will willingly kill.” I blinked. Shock stole my breath. My first reaction was disbelief. Then, against my better judgment, I let out a laugh. It was harsh, incredulous, but it came out anyway. “You… already know how to joke now, huh?” Jaron’s lips twitched, almost the ghost of a smile, but his voice remained steady, calm, and terrifyingly sincere. “I’m not joking.”

Like I was a baby goat he was about to slaughter. His eyes were wide, unblinking and glassy with something deranged and hungry. Then he remembered something - what his mother used to tell him when things seemed at their wit's end. He closed his eyes and pictured the field of butterflies from his memories. When the shirtless man grew closer, Gregg could see two large lightning bolt tattoos on each side of the man’s six-pack abdomen. Gregg could now see the dark figure. It was a man with white makeup on his face, along with what appeared to be black eyeshadow. The man had his pitch-black long hair tied up into a ponytail, and it looked like he had blood painted across his broad shoulders. The white makeup made the man look like Jared Leto’s Joker from the Snyder Cut Justice League. Gregg felt helpless while looking up at this shirtless, sweaty mass of raw muscle who was towering over him, holding a shiny long antique battle-ax in his left hand. We were a blur—duck, spin, throw, laugh. My lungs burned from cold and joy. Every time I opened my mouth, real laughter poured out. Not the polite one I used since my arrival. It shook loose pieces inside me I thought were gone forever. I hadn’t laughed like this since before the poison. Before the dungeon. Before I died. Lucas noticed. His throws slowed just enough to glance at me. “You okay?” I wiped snow from my cheek. “Better than okay.” He smiled, small, private, the kind that made my stomach flip. Some of them tried to get away from the arms of my henchmen however, they are way stronger than them so there is no way in hell that they are going to get away. Joker and the others then placed them on a wheelchair and they even made sure to tie both their arms and legs on the chair, preventing them to move. “Watch me have fun tonight, southeastern region and I am going to show you what is the consequence of you lying straight at my face. So, let’s start this.” I said as I grab the gun from my thighs and I immediately shot the first one straight at his head.

He frantically closed his phone and set it face down. He stared at her amber eyes. No warmth, just indifference and exhaustion. Then she starts laughing. Full-blown maniacal laughter that even the Joker will say she’s lost her damn mind. She wiped the tear that formed in the corner of her eye, “You… You already saw the proof that I’m innocent, and you have the audacity to speak to me like that.” She expressed with an ear-to-ear grin that didn’t convey happiness. “I don’t even know who you are right now.”

Ash, Decker, and Nat were downright hysterical and I could hear even Blade trying to keep himself from laughing. "I'm not gonna yell at her. I just want to know when they learned to ride." Joker snarled as he glared at me and then at the rest of the group. "Yeah, me too!" Dom and I both said at the same time which set off another round of laughter. Joker continued towards the door with us right behind him. He finally wrenched it open only to be greeted with Petal and Margo rolling in laughter on the floor. Thor, Sunny and Thrash were behind them, cracking up as well.
