"Look, I am fine. Not a scratch. See!" I couldn't control it anymore. The tears that I had been holding back started streaming down my face. "How can you joke about anything like this, Noah?" my voice broke at the end and then, it turned ugly- my crying, I mean. It must have been the ugliest cry in all the history of ugly crying. I mean, I was even offering competition to Alice, who was bawling her eyes out. "You don't love me!" I sobbed, hitting Noah's chest. "You were going t-to- I am never forgiving you for this."

He seemed to have lost weight, resembling a mere shadow of his former self. Had he always appeared this dreadful? He wondered, leaning against the sink and releasing a heavy sigh. Placing his hands on his face, he stifled a sob that threatened to escape. His fingertips brushed against his cheek, and the tears began to flow uncontrollably. This time, he couldn't contain them any longer. And so, he allowed himself to cry, unleashing his emotions like a child deprived of their beloved toy as a form of punishment.

They tried to know why I was crying, but I couldn't even answer them as I sobbed again and again. it then came to the point that most of them went out of my room, with the exception of a few people. “What are you sorry for?” Marcus asked, puzzled by my response. “You did not even do anything wrong.”

“Who the fuck hurt you?” I shake my head, not being able to tell him even if I want to. “You need to calm down because you are starting to freak me out. I don’t know what to do when females cry,” he groans. Despite the situation I am in, I start laughing while tears still stream down my face. “Are you crying or laughing?” he asks. “Both?” I try to decide. He snorts and grabs a can of soda. “Drink this,” he says after popping it open for me.

Athena POV “I used to think my life was a tragedy, but now I realize, it’s a comedy”. That famous quote from the Joker runs through my head over and over, as my clothes are absolutely drenched in slimy red and yellow gunk. Only, in my case, it’s still a tragedy. I fail to see the comedy part in all of this.
