I jumped out of my seat and spun around to see a pair of yellow eyes glowing in the corner of the room. As those eyes drew closer to me, I realized that it was Simon, the fae that came to warn me the other day.

On the right-side wall, another bookcase is filled with additional magical texts that have been collected over the centuries. Knowing she has some time to kill, Laura begins scanning over each book, looking for any that could prove helpful to their quest. While she is aware that Keegan is mainly focusing on time magic, Laura’s intuition is pulling her to do some research of her own on an separate matter – what it will take to defeat Keegan’s uncle in the present. It's not that she doesn’t have faith in Keegan or her plan, but her intuition never points her in the wrong direction. There is a reason they need to be prepared for more than one possible battle.

Lily walked towards Laura who was sitting at the balcony while reading a book. "Lily? What do you mean by that? I'm not trying to do anything." Laura waved her book with a smile. "Don't pretend to be innocent Laura. I know that you are trying to take Scarlett's position away from her. She is their daughter and we are people that they helped! Stop being greedy!." Lily yelled in anger. Seeing that it was no use arguing with Lily any longer, Laura smirked and decided to come clean.

Today, more than ever, she needed that escape. As she parked and made her way inside, the familiar scent of paper and ink wrapped around her like a calming embrace. Laura wandered the aisles, her fingers grazing the spines of books, feeling the reassurance of a world that stayed the same even when everything else seemed uncertain. She selected a novel from a nearby shelf, flipping through its worn pages, hoping its story might silence the lingering ache in her chest.

He instinctively opened his mouth to ask something, but the confusion bottled up inside him, and he couldn't speak. "Don't be afraid. I'm Wright." Wright suppressed the growing panic inside and tried to make his voice gentle, comforting, as he cautiously approached her. But the closer he got, the stronger Laura's reaction became. She acted like a frightened animal, desperately fighting back. Her sharp nails scratched his face, leaving a few bloodied marks. After struggling for a while, Laura finally passed out from exhaustion. Wright looked at her lying motionless on the bed, a mix of emotions swirling within him—pain, confusion, and concern.

She kept glancing at her watch and the road expectantly. "What's keeping him", she mumbled, quite frustrated from waiting. Laura gazed around for a while and finally spotted an empty bench under a tree adjacent the school premises. She hived a sigh and crossed over to the bench. After settling in, she rummaged through her bag and brought out a novel, "MY REFLECTION" by Otu Harriet. She was a fun of novels and Harriet was one of her favourite authors. She started reading with rapt attention. Ben smiled, wearing a mischievous look. Patrick and Fred glanced at him, wondering what he was thinking of.

Laura warned in a scary voice. "But we haven't even read the record book" Peter protested. "Or we can just borrow it and return it back when we are done with it" Laura said as she started wrapping the book with her sweater. "Borrowing without permission is stealing and you don't wanna do that right?" Peter protested. "Well who cares, let's just go already before we get caught or do you wanna be apprehended? Cause obviously, I don't " Laura said with a scary look as she led the way outside close to ward 15.
