“It is when the alternative is annihilation.” The pressure in the space increased slightly, like a thoughtful hand resting on my back. “You are aware,” the Void said, “that time behaves differently here.” I frowned. “Explain.” “Outside,” the Void said, “your world moves forward in a straight line, cause and effect, birth and death.” “And in here?” I asked. “In here,” the Void replied, “time circles, it pools, It folds back on itself. A moment may last a breath, or an era. You will not always know which.”

She didn't want to, but in that brief moment of transition, she realized that there were always immutable laws in the world. Time was not something flexible, not something that could be rewound and changed at will. It held a mysterious wisdom. It clung to the belief that the past could be repaired and the course of life could be changed. With each passing second, it held on to the hope that everything could still be made right. But it wasn't. Things weren't that simple. Time didn't move on its own. Its power to shape events and sustain the cycle of life was inextricably linked to other forces.

Although Fane only understood a slight portion of the laws, it was sufficient for him to use it during this battle. The laws of space were much more accurate compared to pure speed. If Fane was just ‘fast’, he would be wounded by the overpowering energy, even if he managed to avoid the attack. However, he activated the laws of space which granted him the power to ignore the limitation of distance. Although it looked like Wesley was attacking this space, Fane had already used the power of space to transfer himself to another space and evaded Wesley’s attack.

There's nothing in this room except for that but no one tried walking towards it aside from Cayden's father. Space referred to Heaven and Earth, while Time was born after Space. Following right after, the Ousia representing Life also changed. It appeared behind Time. In James' comprehension, Life meant the life of all beings. It referred to everything in this world. All plants and living beings represented Life. Life was followed by the Death Ousia. Death referred to the end of a living being's life.

She asked cheerfully. "Evan Lynch." Over the next few days, Hannah and I actively tried to figure out the rules of this time-space distortion phenomenon. But the more we investigated, the more confused we became. Sometimes, something placed in one spot would disappear the next second, but if we put something in the exact same place again, nothing would happen. This time-space distortion seemed completely random. It appeared without warning, and the size of the objects it transferred was random too. But there were still some patterns.

The higher the spatial dimension, the closer the distance between two points. For example, in three-dimensional space, it would take ten thousand years to cross the distance between two places at the speed of light. In four-dimensional space, it might only take an hour, and in five-dimensional space, it would only take one minute. In six-dimensional space, one might reach in a second, and so on… If it were a seven-dimensional or eight-dimensional space, the time required would be shorter. Of course, this was not absolute but just a metaphor. In short, the higher the spatial dimension and the closer the distance, the shorter the time required.
