“Sir, it came directly from your office.” The associate’s voice was respectful, but the implication was clear.
Lily leaned forward, scanning the screen. Something about the formatting prickled at her memory — a font she hadn’t seen in their standard reports, an odd alignment in the headers.
“This isn’t ours,” she blurted before she could stop herself. All eyes swung toward her, and she flushed but kept going. “Knight Enterprises doesn’t use Verdana. It’s Calibri, always. And these margins? No. This has been doctored.”
