It was a few people stacked together, and the hole was not a wooden spike, it was some animal or human bones! the white bones in the moonlight shine looks incomparably weird and creepy. Moonlight spilled across the floor, soft and silver. Sleep came slowly. But when it did, it came like a storm. --- The dream began in silence. Then came the growl. Low. Mournful. Agonized. The air was thick with the scent of blood, smoke, and damp fur. Every breath burned in her lungs. Ahead of her stood a cage—its black iron bars warped into jagged, unnatural angles. And behind them…

Plip. Sebastian was limping heavily now. Every step was agony. The uneven ground twisted his ankles, sending shocks of pain up his damaged nerves. But he refused to stop. He refused to let the Frenchman see him weak. "We are close," Louis checked the compass in the journal. "The deeper we go, the older the bones." They reached a circular chamber. The ceiling was domed, supported by a pillar made entirely of skulls. On the far wall, there was a stone carving: A Weeping Angel.

Leo shouted over the rising roar of the geothermal vents. ​"I’ve done more than that!" Ren yelled back, his fingers flying across the holographic interface of the ancient Miller terminal. "I’ve rerouted the 'Wild Code' to act as a magnetic tether. We aren't just breaking out of the crust, Leo. We’re using the city’s own gravity-grid to 'Slingshot' the entire Labyrinth into the upper atmosphere. But once we leave the ground, we only have ten minutes of oxygen before the biosphere fails!"

Everyone leaned closer. Laboratories. Documents. Computer servers. Research facilities. Marco frowned. "What am I looking at?" Leon pointed toward a logo. The black circle. Three lines. The Ravens. "They've been rebuilding Project Heir." The room froze. Completely. Aruna stared. "No." Leon nodded. "Yes." Gabriel closed his eyes. Antonio cursed. Salvatore looked ready to murder someone. Dante remained expressionless. Which usually meant he was furious. "How far?" Dante asked.

Chapter 17: Echoes in the Labyrinth The cavern entrance seemed to shrink behind them as Evie and Liam followed the hulking guardian deeper into the labyrinth. The blue light emanating from the Wellspring faded, replaced by the familiar bioluminescent glow of the fungi clinging to the cavern walls. A sense of unease settled in Evie's stomach. They were venturing further into the heart of Aethel than anyone had ever dared before, relying on a creature whose loyalties remained a mystery.

Anton remained a silent anchor, his hand a steadying presence on Sabatine, watching the digital battlefield unfold. Finally, Sabatine sat back, exhaling a long, weary breath. The screens showed a chaotic, beautiful dance of light—three distinct, glowing paths winding through the map of Geneva, each pulsing with simulated activity. A separate, dimmer, almost invisible thread wound a mundane path from their hotel to a small café called Le Petit Lac.

Leon and Claire hoped something would happen now, but still nothing happened. “Three minutes left! We are not going to make it!" exclaimed Claire frantically. Meanwhile Ariadne just froze, waiting for Leon and Claire to find a way to use the thread. Leon irritatedly broke the knot he had made with the thread and threw it into the air. But suddenly, the spool of thread gave off light and swirled in the air. A second later the string landed on the ground and the reel rolled toward one of the labyrinth's swift turns, leaving a trail of red thread still shining before them.

I made my way down to the basement to the lab that she conned me out of. I could already smell that she was up to some shit before I reached the door and as soon as I got there, there was no room for doubt. "Mengele the fuI mean what are you up to little girl?" "Nothing daddy." Nothing my ass! There were fumes coming out the beaker she was fucking around with. The pothead decided to give her a complete chemistry set and now I sleep with one eye open. The little shit scares me more than the fucks in the desert.

The Labyrinth Entry The entrance gaped like a beast’s throat—twenty metres wide, as tall, a stone arch flayed by floodlights so that deep carvings cast jagged shadows. Labrys marks—double axes—glimmered where water ran down grooves older than empires. Cables snaked along the ground, feeding rows of lamps that pushed the dark only so far. The air tasted of oil, hot metal, and men who worked too long. Stephanos slipped inside, keeping low, a mouse that knew the hawks by name.
