Alex Toby grunts with effort as we move the patch in place. It’s nothing more than a sheet of steel to frame one of the smaller tunnel entrances in the lab, creating an archway leading down into the glacial, blue-tinged darkness below. “Shit!” Toby huffs.

As they navigated the labyrinth, Luna noticed flickering glimpses of figures darting through the corners of her vision. They seemed to be mirages, elusive and ever-shifting. The static snarls, *wrong, wrong, wrong*. “You’re not real,” I say. Veyra claws at the glass, her blood smearing Renn’s smirking face. “He’s gone,” I snap, yanking her back. “That thing is a *mimic*.” “Then why does it hurt?” she rasps.

“Thanorite?” “It’s an extremely rare mineral, but highly toxic with prolonged exposure, especially in humid environments,” Lyra looked him straight in the eye. “It doesn’t kill immediately. Instead, it silently destroys the nervous system, weakens werewolves, and eventually leads to death through sheer exhaustion. It’s the cause of what you call the Black Marrow Blight.” Raven’s eyes darkened. “Are you sure?” Lyra didn’t answer right away. Instead, she quietly stood up and walked toward the corner of the room, where she had turned a desk and shelves into a makeshift laboratory.

I didn’t want to go outside. After three minutes, my bundle decided she has had enough of breastmilk. “All right. Let’s go and wash some clothes.” I got up and strapped her on my back using a blue wrapper. A typical African style. I took the clothes and headed to the backyard. When I got there, I met Labake and another lady fetching water by the well. “Hi,” I greeted both. Labake looked up and a smile lighted up her features. Unlike the other day, her face was free of makeup. And I realised she was a black beauty. The other lady looked at me with open curiosity.

Patrick asked as if nothing happened. “One of the wolves is out of control.” Patrick and I exchange glances. “Lead the way, man.” Just our luck. This is it. I try to communicate with Liam and Lucas. “We may have found the secret lab. It´s on Sub-level 4.” “We´re on our way.” Liam replied through the pack link. The Lab Technician leads us to Sub-Level 4. He keys in the code, which I relay to Liam. “The code to the elevator is Alpha-9-6-5-3-Omega.”

This labyrinth is just another test we have to conquer. We rize to our feet and take a moment to gather our strength. As we continue through the labyrinth, the air grows thicker with tension. Shadows dance across the walls, whispering secrets that send shivers down our spines. I clutch the pendant around my neck, a small token of my mother's love and protection. As we venture deeper into the maze, the walls seem to shift and rearrange themselves, ever-changing like a living entity. Me and Jericho rely on our instincts, trusting our bond to guide us through the labyrinth's treacherous twists and turns.
