By the time I got there, the event had just ended. I watched as Vivian, Liam, and Desiree left the building with bright smiles on their faces. Trying to maintain my composure, I said, "You must've had a long day, Desiree. I'm here to pick you up." To my surprise, Desiree instantly hid behind Liam. With a look of contempt, she snapped, "I don't want to leave with you! You're an uncultured person. I want Liam to be my dad instead!" I froze for a brief moment. Then, I recalled how strangely she'd been behaving recently.

Then he reached out something to her. "This? A book?" Leah asked. "Yes. This is your book. I know since a name is written there. I felt it was very important to you." Then Lewis handed it to her while he excused himself. Both Lewis and Georgia walked away. Leah on her table touched the cover of the book. "This book is well kept. Hmmm... Let's see." Leah said. She felt that book is something. [Will Leah open it? ] [ To be continued... ]

he chuckled, "the last fifty pages was the most tragic and upsetting thing I've ever read." "I agree. Once I finished the book, I had to tell Leah to burn it and never let me see it again." I continued. "But any book is considered a great book if it has such a strong effect on the reader." The entrance door opens, spilling light towards me. I see Leah standing by the door, finally back from her activity. She raises her eyebrows, and her lips turn into a smirk upon the sight of Ethan and me together. "Oh my god." She mouthed, slowly making her way toward me. As Leah comes up to the couch, Ethan greets her with a friendly smile.
