There it was. The ledger. Black leather, worn at the edges, its pages thick with ink. She flipped it open, her breath catching as names and numbers spilled across the paper: shipments, ports, bribes, politicians bought and paid for—routes carved in blood. It wasn’t just a ledger—it was an empire written in code and ink. Her chest tightened. If Dante wanted this, it wasn’t for leverage—it was for war.

I am currently working on the Hidden Legacy Series. Book 1 has been recrafted to reflect my evolved style of writing. That has been published as a full paperback novel on A****n. I have recrafted Book 2, and it is currently being prepared for publication as a paperback novel. Book 2 has undergone some plot changes, including a title change, resulting in another shorter novel, The Moon's Exception. I am more than halfway through writing that, and it will sit between Book 2 and Book 3.

Whoever that was, they’re not working alone.” That night, as I sat by the fire, the ledger in my lap, I couldn’t shake the man’s parting words: “You don’t know what you’re getting into.”

Carol then froze when she realized that Cassy had said The legendary mage and not a legendary mage, but Paige didn't know that The legendary mage existed, so she asked her puzzled, "Do you know anything about The legendary mage… Cassy, very few people know of his existence, it's been a long time since the mark of the pentacle appeared and many people have forgotten about him." Cassy didn’t know what to do but she was really scared right now so she said to her, "I have something to confess to you but first I want to know why your family seems to know about this mark and The legendary mage?"

She turned the yellowed pages, running her finger over the black embossed words. "I'll take history," Casper announced grabbing the first book his hands landed on. He rested it against his chest, pacing the room as he flicked through the pages, sighing at every page turn. Gage opted for the Lycan section. Lena war and battles and Serena diaries of the royals. I went to the section on leadership and Alphas. Hours passed. The pile of discarded books in the middle of the room grew bigger and bigger as the books yet to read dwindled. Blake still tapped furiously at the laptop he rested on a small reading table. Lena joined Casper in sighing after each page turn.
