I look out at the empty lot across the street and watch the tall grass wave back and forth. Something in the trees catches my attention. I squint between the trucks where something large seems to be. With my slippers on, I walk down the steps and to the edge of the road. The large thing becomes a dark thing and it's yellow eyes flash at me before sinking back. My chest begins to ache.

And this is how it went: Roselyn: Hey, I am Roselyn. Katelyn: Hey, I am Katelyn. Joselyn: Nice to meet you guys! I am Joselyn. Rose/ Kate: Nice to meet you too! Awkward silence. Katelyn: Where are you from? Joslyn: I come from Brooklyn. Another awkward silence. Scratching's at the table. Roselyn: What's that noise? Joselyn: Someone's scratching at the table. Roselyn: Aahh.

"How far are we from the lake? Is this the nearest big city? Do you have neighbors? What is growing there? What is that?" It was like traveling with an excited child; an excited nude child with the body of a woman. Every time I looked over I got turned on. After we left the last town I drove about three miles out of town to CR-26, the county road that went out to the lake. In the spring a sign was going up at this corner that would say, "Leaping Bass Resort 10 miles" with an arrow pointing down CR-26. When I turned Monica squirmed in her seat.

It wasn’t enough to scare her off, though, and Halley lunged at Beth as Ryan began to float away, still not conscious enough to help himself. She tugged her hands out of Dawn’s and set them alight. “One crispy Siren it is then”, the blackette said. ~0~ Couple hours later… Lena paced up and down near the tree where Bryce was killed. She stopped when the Siren appeared. “At last I get to meet Lena McKenzie”, she said as she sauntered up, hips swaying. “You know my name but I don’t know yours”, Lena said folding her arms “I suppose I could just call you crispy calamari”. Mikaela laughed “that’s really sweet, the little witch wants to burn me”, she said mockingly, slowly circling Lena.

Kat said as she leaned into Brenden and hooked her arm around his. "Yea and when we get there, notice the beaches under the bridge. Passing merchants would stop and fish for bait to sell on the side in the creek. There's high populations of small shrimps, clams, crayfish, and minnows that call the creek home. All you gotta do is turn over the rocks- all kinds of life. It's awesome." Brenden replied. "True, I've seen it, and I actually have some freshwater clam specimens from under that bridge specifically in my aquariums. They're very good for cleanin' the water," Dillon chimed in.

Pressure, like a sinus headache. "Fan-freaking-tastic..." I pant. I assume my crawling position, and I wiggle out from the brush. It is still daylight, and I do not know it'd it's the same day or next. I am thirsty though. My tongue feels like sandpaper. Squirrels and birds are flighty in my descent to the creek, and I flop unceremoniously onto my stomach to drink. A turtle ducks back into it's shell across the creek from me and I huff. The best part about drinking from the creek is knowing others do as well, and likely crap in it too. I drop my head in defeat and laugh a sloppy, venomous laugh of the disgruntled.
