Black flames danced across her hands, tearing at our skin, stealing our breath.
"You're strong for mutts," she hissed, "but still beneath me."
Ash didn’t answer. He threw himself at her again, but she conjured spikes of dark crystal from the ground, cutting him off. He was fast, dodging, slashing—but she was relentless.
