Thomas responded quickly. We burst out of the front court within seconds, the early morning air cold and sharp. Levi and his bride were already standing there under the buzzing fluorescent light, looking all dressed and ready like they’d been waiting for a damn party. My scowl hit them before I could stop it. Could Levi and his mother be working with the rogues this time? The thought burned hot. Are they trying to speed up my death so they can slide right into my throne? Levi caught the glare and bowed slightly, all polite and fake. “Your majesty. My bride and I only came out to help in any way we can.”

I said. The doctor nodded before leaving once again with the nurse. I returned my attention to Levi as he was looking around the room. "Why am I in a hospital?" Levi asked. "You got in a car accident," I replied. "Why are you here?" He asked. "I'm here to take care of you," I said. "Where's George?" Levi asked.

Gaia cooed, dragging her fingers through my hair as she shifted closer, “You’re still upset, aren’t you? About that blind pup? You don’t have to think about her anymore. I’m here now. I’ll make you forget her.” “Can you?” I murmured, cupping her face and staring at her wide dark green eyes. An image of Aquamarine’s bloodshot eyes immediately flashed in my mind. I closed my eyes and bit my tongue. But before I could push Gaia away, the door opened without a knock. Levi. Levi stepped inside, holding something in his hand. His eyes were cold and his lips were pressed to a thin line. He didn’t spare Gaia a glance. He didn’t even bow. He just marched straight to me.

God, his arms felt good. “Shit,” Livi cursed, sprinting into the house looming above us. It must be the house he was staying in here in the West, because when he called out, his men answered. “Bring suppressants!” Someone far off cursed. “I don’t think we brought any, Sir!” Levi growled out, “Then find some!” before turning for the stairs. The world jostled as Levi brought me upstairs somewhere dark. A giggle burst out of me and the heat oozed along my bones. I didn’t hurt now. Maybe because I was far enough from Mason. And maybe the heat was calm because stopped fighting it.

He also didn't read this because he felt it was the reply to what they had sent. "I hope it is good news and her marriage went well. I wish her a healthy marriage" he sighs at the thought of losing one of his people to Devon. He and Devon were enemies who prided themselves in killing their people. Levi was happy that he had won this round at least Avery was saved. He retreated into his inner chambers. "Thank you so much. My regards to Levi. I'll see him some other time" Beatrice says to the guard whom Levi sent. A maid had welcomed him into the house.

Chapter 35 Viona Pov The thudding of war drums was still echoing in my head as we rode through the silver gates of the Levites pack house. Blood clung to my armor like an unshakable second skin, dirt streaked my face, and my muscles ached from hours of combat, but I kept my back straight and chin high. We had won - barely. And now, here we were, riding into the heart of our pack as if we hadn't just clawed through hell to get here.

Levi It’s been three days since Martin’s mom passed away in her sleep. He’s been quiet and off grid, which I get but at the same time, we’re in the midst of a war and I can’t have my men going dark. I’ve spoken to Martin once since that night and just like I did with Barney, I confronted him. His reaction was very much similar to Barney’s. Betrayal. He denied it and has vowed to find out who is the one behind it.

A voice whisper behind me. Everly. I ignore her. “Do hear the latest rumor now?” She ask, then continues. “Nova mother is back. And it looks like she’s going to be reclaiming her title as Mrs Garrison.” My jaw clenches as I scratch my brow, and wonder why the line so fucking long. She giggles. “I heard from the staff this morning that Mr. Garrison rushes out of the company and it was later heard that he has gone to Liliana’s side at the hospital just because she has a minor cut.”

Overall, the last month has been hectic but full of joy and progress. Levi is an active and curious young boy who loves spending time with his friends Lane and Cortland. His interests have recently shifted to computers, and with the help of his mentor Coldwell, he is learning how to code. He also has a strong interest in the military, and is always following his uncle Carrington around, peppering him with questions to learn as much as he can. He loves the jargon and lingo of the military and has already picked up on the march steps. He is an eager student and is enjoying expanding his knowledge of the military and computers.

Levi sat at the table, wrists shackled, his dark hair longer than I remembered, his face gaunt… but his eyes were the same. Sharp… Calculating…. Watching. The moment his gaze landed on Gavin, his mouth twisted into something between amusement and disdain. He leaned back in his seat, his eyes narrowed. “Well, if it isn’t my old friend, Gavin Landry,” Levi drawled. “What honor do I have for this visit, Almighty Alpha?” Gavin didn’t look the least bit amused. “We came for information,” Gavin said, pulling out a seat for me to sit down. I sat down, and Gavin sat in the seat beside me, his hand never leaving my thigh. I wrapped my fingers around his hand, as if that were enough to ground me.
