Something that makes my heart soar. I pull it out and it's just as I thought. The sensor remote. I flick the switch in the opposite direction and a red light blinks thrice, signaling the sensor has indeed been turned off. I turn back to the unwanted baggage lying sprawled on the ground. She smiled as she had thought of something. She quickly stormed all over the spaces where she could find something to make fire until she got inside Bill’s bathroom. There, her eyes lit to see what she had been looking for. Bill’s bathroom had aroma candles. She quickly looked for the lighter on his cabinets then bingo! She found a gold slim lighter. With all the side tables and chairs over the other, Arabella successfully reached the fire sensor. With the candle already lit, she raised it to the sensor, and just a flip of a second, the fire alarm of the whole building resonated.

My skin buzzed, heat prickling against it. Out of nowhere, I saw a tall figure smiling at me. “Do you see that?” I whispered, voice shaking. ‘See what?’ Sai sounded distant now, muffled. “Someone,” I said hoarsely. “He’s just standing there—” The lamp flared one last time, a bright flash that swallowed the whole room in white. I screamed but no sound came out of my mouth. When my eyes adjusted, the smoke alarm was wailing. “No. No, no, no.”

The security camera’s red light was blinking—once, twice… then it held solid. From the screen came a faint click. And then— The feed went black.
