Monster

Monster

I quietly walked downstairs and headed to the door, but suddenly a laugh echoed in the hall and made my heart jump. Those would be Luther’s men patrolling the night shift. I had to get rid of them as soon as possible. Swallowing hard, I turned around and went directly into the kitchen. I opened the refrigerator door and took out a raw chicken. I walked to the counter and put it into the dish before placing it in the microwave at the highest temperature. It would take only a few minutes to burn the chicken completely and form black smoke. Once the smoke particles got into the detector, it would cause a huge alarm noise of the fire alert and give false information to Luther’s men. It was enoug

House of Shadows

House of Shadows

"Well, I also have a trick up my sleeve." Just then a thick black smoke starts to form all around Agreas. The smoke quickly disperses around the hallways covering all forms of light and leaving them to pitch black. "Found you" Agreas leaps forwards scratching Bael across his chest. Quickly an invisible Bael retreats but Agreas was already behind him scratching him again across his back. "Since you're going to die here, I'll tell you something about my smoke." he chuckles to himself "my smoke acts as a detection device, as long as you are in contact with my smoke, I know if someone is around or not. You will not win this Bael."

Can You Lend Me a Kiss?

Can You Lend Me a Kiss?

He pressed it again and this time, it blinked green. The green light meant that the device had successfully done its job by scanning the area and was now actively disabling any small bugs, hidden microphones, or secret cameras that could have been planted inside the house without his knowledge. Kenny waited for a few seconds, just to be sure the device had finished its work. Once the green light stopped blinking and stayed solid for a few seconds, he let out a deep sigh of relief. Then, he slowly placed the device back into his pocket and looked at Kata.

Love and lies

Love and lies

It's almost like pulling the day's weight over your head. I jump on my bed and flip the switch on the night lamp beside me,turning it off. "Good night Troy." I mumble to myself. * I wake up to the sound of deafening sirens blaring out of the security alarm systems. I snap my eyes open and pull the covers away from my body. The security bulb in my room is blinking a red light, corresponding with the sounds disturbing the entire building. It's going to be blinking that same way in every other room as well.

A Story That Doesn’t Belong To You

A Story That Doesn’t Belong To You

“What? But we’ve Adrien turned sharply, the scanner rising as he followed the signal across the room. The tone grew louder near the ceiling high, piercing. Ryan followed his gaze upward. The smoke detector. Adrien’s expression went cold. He climbed onto the table, reaching up. Ryan steadied him instinctively. “Careful.” Adrien twisted the device free. The red light on its edge blinked once then again. The scanner in his hand started screaming. “Ryan, step back!”

Remember to forget you

Remember to forget you

He yelled. Not only that she fool him with her innocent face, but the face was also actually fake and his sister is still missing. At first, he didn't take it as anything when he noticed a small object blinking red light, Things just get greater when he noticed it's as small as a pen on the floor beeping faster. "Everyone dow-" Before he could say the word completely, a loud sound was heard, throwing everyone off their feet to directions no one planned for. Shortly, the disoriented room became filled with smoke and fire.

THE PAKHAN'S STOLEN OMEGA

THE PAKHAN'S STOLEN OMEGA

She looked around for the source. The intercom by the bed had a small red light blinking. As she watched, a voice crackled through: "Hope you're finding everything satisfactory." Dimitri. Of course they were monitoring her. She walked to the intercom but didn't press the button to reply. Just stood there, arms crossed, staring at it. "I can see you," the voice continued. "Camera in the smoke detector. Say something if you can hear me." "Invasion of privacy much?" she said to the room at large.

The First Wife’s Revenge

The First Wife’s Revenge

Someone had been following her every step since Ethan vanished. On the back of the last photo, written in neat black ink, Smile for me. Her stomach dropped. She stumbled back, phone shaking in her hand. The message wasn’t just taunting, it was watching. She turned slowly, scanning the walls, the ceiling, the corners of the room. Her light caught something, a tiny red blink near the baseboard. A dot. She crouched, moving closer. The red light pulsed softly, rhythmic, mechanical. She pulled at the edge of the carpet, revealing a small black device glued beneath the floorboard.

The Step father and His plus size obsession

The Step father and His plus size obsession

The words written on the back of the index card burned into my retinas, sharp and unforgiving, and the air in the dorm room suddenly felt too thin to breathe. He can't protect you through a screen, Jules, but I can see you right now. My heart slammed against my ribs with such violent force that my vision actually swam with black spots. I slowly, agonizingly, lifted my gaze from the card to the ceiling. Right above my bed, nestled in the cheap white plastic of the smoke detector, was a tiny, faint red LED light. It was blinking.

Once a Doormat, Now Untouchable

Once a Doormat, Now Untouchable

"It's not for fire. It's for people." Hugh frowned. "What's that supposed to mean?" "The left one is a smoke detector," Sydney said evenly. "The right one hides a camera on a separate line. It stays active even during power failures." She turned back to Henry. "Mr. Linus, please send me Mr. Lopez's number. I'll ask him to pull the footage myself." As Henry opened the company directory, Wallace's face drained of color. Hugh caught it and shot him a warning look before forcing a smirk. "Funny how none of us old staff knew that, but you did. Don't try to bluff us, Ms. Wilson."

Kai
I’m starting to lose interest. It started out interesting and exciting and now it’s dragging with filler chapters. No one knows how to actually have a conversation. So many things could’ve been cleared up with actually talking to each other.
Gena
so far I love how strong Sydney is and all she needs now is the devoted man to make everything else set in stone. she doesn't need a man but her having one completely devoted to her will make this story perfect, but it is really good so far.
