The forest was drinking her. "Let her go!" Nomo screamed, charging forward, but the Fae simply waved a hand, and the earth rose up to swallow his legs, pinning him in place. "Watch, little pilot," the Fae said, its voice cold and final. "Watch as we return the stolen light to the earth and leave the flesh to rot in the mud." "Is this the 'holy war' you promised, Zero, or are you just the first weed they're going to pull after I'm gone?" Sofia hissed through the pain, her eyes burning with a defiance that the thorns couldn't dampen.

When the magic gets to the castle, the thorny vines and mold shrivel and die and in their place are green, flowering vines. I walk to stand behind Lily, putting my arms around her waist as we watch the land heal from it’s wounds. When it’s done, she steps away from me, turning to look at our people. She pulls Lightning Wielder out of the ground and lifts it to the sky. Once again, the white lightning flows into her sword. "People of the fae land, be healed of your darkness, healed of your wounds, find your peace and happiness." She pushes the light out, letting it flow through our people, healing them of their pain and the remnants of their darkness.
