The force of the vortex was like falling into a powerful and angry hurricane and then getting thrown into a whirlpool with body-ripping electricity surging through it.

Sabrina grunted, her golden shield flickering under the relentless assault. I lunged forward, slamming the dagger into the orb. A high-pitched scream filled the room as the orb cracked, releasing a shockwave that sent the witch and her creatures reeling. She staggered, her power faltering as Sabrina seized the moment. With a fierce cry, she unleashed a concentrated blast of light that struck the witch head-on. The witch collapsed to her knees, her dark magic fading as Sabrina advanced, her breathing ragged but victorious. I agreed, then felt Rex’s energy flow into me like a steady stream. I felt my body become charged as electric currents traveled through me. In one swift motion, both Rex and I threw out our joined hands and a bolt of lightning flew out and hit the witch in a flash. This time when she hit the ground, she didn’t get back up. Just to be sure, we rushed over to her and saw a hole with scorch marks had blown right through her chest. “Whatever you do, don’t do what you did earlier again. That hurt like a bitch.” Rex said and I couldn’t stop a smile from forming.

The witch twitched, then slammed both hands into the ground. Spikes of large obsidian erupted, cutting through the battlefield and scattering everywhere, leaving several wolves impaled and instantly drained of their life energy. Rhiannon fought back with a scream that had thunder slamming into her body, accumulating for a second before she directed that thunder toward the spikes, and it blasted everything within its radius, freeing those who were about to get impaled. She cackled and soon the whole room was shaking and tilting on its own axis. Suddenly, fire shot out of the rod and Lucia was lucky enough to dodge it. She had been expecting something like that and had mentally prepared herself ever since she saw the staff pointed at her. She knew most witches loved fighting with fire when angered and this was not different, considering that she's their queen. Only a few witches could make one freeze to death and those were the most deadly when angered. She knew the one right before her was so angry and would battle it out to the latter with her so she was prepared to dodge her attacks while sending out a few of her own.

I just prayed that they were not from our side. I was able to do a Matrix backbend just in time so that flying dagger missed me. I simply smirked at the bastard for his horrible aim. It was easy to see that he honestly thought coming here would be an easy affair for him to acquire what he sought – me. Too damn bad because we would never give in until we were the victors here today.
