I shake Daniel’s outreached hand. “I wouldn’t be comfortable with Lily; may I call you Miss Blackwood?” he asks politely “No, you may not” his eyebrows shoot up in surprise, “Okay. Lily.” I smile. “This is Lucas Craven.” “Mr Craven is fine.” I narrow my eyes and roll my eyes at Luke. Men! JJ starts to leave.

Damien arched a brow. “Friend of yours?” Before Grace could answer, Lila slid into the seat beside her, glaring at Damien like he was the villain in a soap opera. “Oh, don’t ‘friend’ me. I know exactly who you are.” Damien smirked, unbothered. “Do you?” “Yes,” Lila shot back. “You’re Damien Blackwood. Billionaire. Infamous. Probably has a secret lair somewhere. And now you’re sitting across from my best friend like you own the place.”

The drive to Black Water took almost three hours and Layla, having had only two hours sleep, drifted in and out of sleep while Gray sat beside her typing on his laptop. They had barely spoken for most of the trip after he had tried to make conversation but she had made it clear that she wasn’t in the mood for small talk. He glanced surreptitiously at her now, wondering what on earth Blake was up to sending his only daughter as a peace offering to his archenemy. The girl was barely eighteen and looked like a stiff breeze would blow her over and yet, she had a steely resolve and conviction, that made her stronger than she looked.

She introduced herself as Lila Blackthorn to people who knew that name and as Liora Vale to people from the industry who knew the other one, and she watched the double recognition in their faces and felt something she didn't have a clean word for. At eight-fifteen she saw her mother. Vivienne was standing near the entrance to the salon in a dress chosen for exactly this kind of room. Holding a glass she hadn't drunk from. Looking at the gathering with the proprietary assessment she had always worn in rooms she considered worth being in.

Next day Lilianah woke up early. Her body was aching in pain but she fight against her pain and her stubborn self won She left her bed and step inside washroom. Her slender fingers traced down the wounds and bruises on her body. " you all have to pay for your deeds and I am your dead." She talked to herself looking at mirror. After washing her body she wore black inner shirt and creamy pent coat and tied her hair into high ponytail. Then she wore her black glass heels and covered her eyes with brown sunglasses with golden frame.

I asked. "Dennis Black escaped." He replied. "Wait, what?! "Christian snapped. "He had help. They had everything planned out. They killed almost all our men." He said. My mum gasped in horror. "Why?! Why would he do that?!" I widened my eyes. "Before he left, he said he was going to get his revenge on his daughter and her boyfriend. Said he was coming for you." The police said. I almost fell at the impact of those words, tripping on air. Christian was quick to pull me close to his body, steadying me.

His hands are on her breasts and she is tugging his shirt up when they heard Hunter calling for Liam. Liam pulls away. “We'll finish this tonight.” She nods, wordlessly. She can hear him as he goes to the top of the stairs to answer Hunter. She listens as he tells her little brother to come get dressed. Lilah pulls the dress over her head and smoothes it down against her body. She walks over to the dresser where she had left the jewelry Liam had bought her. She takes off the small pair of earrings she has worn for the last seven years and puts on one of the new pairs he got her.

There had to be an atom of truth somewhere. I swallowed loudly, “What do you mean Dominic might die?” “Not just Dominic. All of us at Blackwood.” She said with a soft sigh, “Listen, we are alive only because Lila has no idea the kind of power she wields. But that won't last a long time as she's constantly training and unlocking them. We have to act fast, or else we might suffer the same fate as Shadowfangs.”

Selena’s jaw tightened. “I didn’t go to him,” she said. “He came to me.” There was a brief silence. Then— a quiet laugh. “Yes,” Lila said. “I know.” Selena froze. Something cold slid down her spine. “What do you mean you know?” she asked slowly. Lila didn’t rush her answer. “Black shirt,” she said calmly. “No tie.” A slight pause. “Could barely stand properly.” Selena’s heart skipped. Her fingers tightened unconsciously. “You…” she started, but the words didn’t come out fully.
