(Third Person’s POV) In a luxurious restaurant, a beautiful lady is silently sipping her tea while glancing at the scenery outside. It’s already spring and the flowers are slowly blossoming. The trees sway elegantly to the breeze of the wind, making the scenery harmonious to look at. This tranquillity was interrupted when a young handsome man took a seat in front, blocking the great view. The lady blinked her eyes twice and looked at the man sitting in front. “Oh, you’re here, President Lu.”

Sivly raises Lilly’s bed and helps her get comfortable. After Silvy sets the food in front of Lilly she steps back. “ Ok, Lilly. Everything is set in its usual place. And when one of the girls went for a coffee run I had them grab you one of those iced mochas you like. It is to the left of your plate.” Lilly smiles. I felt the absence like a cold place in the room. “Where’s Lyra?” Caleb asked without looking up. “I don’t think she’ll be joining us,” I replied, breathless. “We can wait,” Lily said. She didn’t look up from the book she held. Her voice was steady but tight. “But we don’t have time to dawdle.” Lily set the book down like it was a live thing. The cover was cracked, the pages browned and smelling of dust and old rain. When she opened it, the two of us leaned in, the others forming a loose semicircle behind.

“I appreciate it.” “Should I send someone to come and take them so that here can be tidy?” Lily asked. I quickly rejected the idea, not wanting to disturb the divine remnants. “They look different. I have never seen this kind of petals and flowers before,” she said, touching one of them gently. That was true. One bunch was filled with various colors, and they seemed to shimmer as if they held their own light. “Did you just see that? It just glowed. Am I seeing things?” she said, pointing towards the flowers in the corner, her voice tinged with disbelief and excitement.

I broke rule seven on a Wednesday. In my defense, I didn't mean to. Lily had found a book, a small hardcover with a blue spine that she'd pulled from somewhere and was very proudly showing me, except she'd clearly gotten it from somewhere she wasn't supposed to, because when I asked her where she found it she suddenly became very interested in Gerald's ear and stopped making eye contact.
