"Interesting." The voice was a deep, emotionless rumble. It sliced through the silence like a scythe. Death had arrived. "The first time in decades a human has managed to quiet the little water wraith." Lily shot up, standing in front of me. A moment ago, she was a little girl in need of protection. Now, she was like a small animal defending its young. "Don't you hurt my sister!" She spread her arms, black liquid pouring from her eyes. "Kael, this is my sister!"

You don't need to act all weird." True. The voice rang again. It was crazy. How was it possible she was the only one hearing the voice. Still confused, she picked her hair band, tying her hair up into a ponytail. She looked at the 5ft5 image of her that had refused to grow taller since she clocked sixteen staring back at her from the mirror. Lily’s breath caught. The sound wasn’t coming from Lena. It was coming from everywhere, mainly from the direction of the stage. The air vibrated as Lily’s own words, spoken seconds ago, boomed across the festival grounds through hidden speakers. Her blood ran cold. “What…?” she whispered. Lena threw her head back and laughed, delighted and cruel. “Oh, don’t tell me you didn’t notice.” Realization slammed into Lily like a physical blow. Her stomach dropped violently. “You’re broadcasting this,” Lily said, her voice trembling with fury as Lena’s voice echoed next, smooth and mocking.

She replied, with a flat, cautious voice, attempting to be normal. “Hello?” “We need to talk,” Lily said. Her voice was neutral, calm, yet there was something behind it, a weight, a warning. Flora’s stomach dropped. She couldn’t move. She couldn’t speak. She could only listen. “Uh… okay,” she whispered.

Then, the most beautiful voice in the world came on the line. “Hello?” Lily said. Her voice was a bit hoarse. It sounded like she had been crying or something. Wyatt wasn't sure, but he knew that she didn't sound peppy like usual. “Hey, Lily,” he said. “It's me, Wyatt.” “I know,” she replied, with a chuckle. “I have your number.” “Oh, yeah. Right.” Wyatt suddenly felt nervous, almost like he was in high school and about to ask out the hottest girl on the cheer leading squad.

Upon hearing the voice, Lily paused and then opened her eyes, quickly locating the source of the sound. Her surroundings were full of chairs, with no unnecessary items. Right in front of her was a large folding screen from which the voice came. Lily looked ahead while calmly sitting in the wheelchair. She spoke mockingly, “Aren’t you proud? You think you control everything by manipulating others and making them go in circles?” The person sighed. “No, that’s not what I meant. I admire you, Ms. Christian.”

Dylan sent a reply to her. Lily was that friend that you are comfortable with telling everything that happens to you. She gives the best advice and at the same time, she is quite a wonderful listener. “The unknown voice that always pops up in your dream again?” Lily sent a reply to him. “Yeah that same voice and I just don’t know what is wrong, at least this time around we were able to have a long conversation before I woke up which is quite weird because he would normally repeat a specific statement and then I would wake up.” He sent a reply back to Lily.

Nik yelled. "It's an unknown number," Lily mumbled, unsure who it might be. "As expected!" Nik shook his head and angrily stuffed his mouth. He didn't want to yell or say something which he might regret later, so the only option was to make his mouth occupied. "Keep it on speaker!" he fumbled. Lily nodded, lifted the call and put it on speaker. "Hello!" she said, praying that it wouldn't be any guy. "Hello!" A female voice came and Lily relaxed.

Lily thought as she walked through the front door of the company. Completely lost as she had never been to Holland's company before she seemed the receptionist. “Hello, I’m here to see”, Lily paused as she knew she hadn’t replied to the text she had gotten yesterday. Who was she to mention? She would just state that she had an appointment with Mr. Damson. “Apologies for the pause, I have an appointment here with Mr Damson.” Lily finally said. “Your name ma’am?” “I’m Lily”, she had responded.
