The Alpha's Chosen Luna
“Before he touches you.”
Silence pressed in, thick and suffocating.
Mendoza’s grip on me tightened fractionally. I could feel his heart hammering against my side.
Outside, distant laughter rolled down the corridor. Harlan’s voice rose above it, slurred and triumphant, calling for another round.
My torn lips moved before I could stop them.
“Then stop talking,” I rasped, “and start cutting.”
Marcus’s eyes flared with something dangerously close to hope.
I closed my eyes for a second, wishing Alpha Benjamin was here…the way the mind link felt like a dream earlier. I was not sure I could believe it. Could he even promise me such a thing? A man who doesn't love me.
