Zelda’s POV The world was a blur of speed and pain. I couldn’t tell how long I’d been dragged before an iron door groaned open and I was thrown to the ground like a sack of nothing. My hand shot to my belly on instinct, and I gasped, trying to force air back into my lungs. I pushed myself up on shaking legs. “Hey! Let me out of here!” My fists hit the door, again and again, but nothing answered except silence.

Zelda looked into my eyes and said, “Then we go dirty. Very dirty.” I blinked. “How dirty?” She smiled again. “Dirty enough that no one will believe we had anything to do with it.” I raised an eyebrow. “Are you talking about something illegal?” “No,” she said. “I’m talking about something brilliant.” I sat back and nodded slowly. “Okay. I like this idea. But I want to be the one who ends her.” “You will,” Zelda said. “But you must be patient.” I got up and walked to the mirror. I fixed my hair and looked at my reflection. “I’ll wait. But I want her out of this house by the end of the month.”
