Zelda "Shut up," mom told me roughly, digging in the cabinet until she came back with a pair of scissors. "Don't fight this, Zelda. I don't want your blood all over my tiles." She started cutting the knots from my hair and I sobbed into my hands, feeling the weight of my hair falling down at my feet. The water was somehow even colder now, biting me in a way that it felt like needles were being pushed deep into my skin. "There we go," she finally announced a while later.

Aiden's POV. Walking into Zelda's room and seeing her mood made me feel sad. I knew she was feeling sad, and I could tell that Alaric was in the middle of it all. I could never bring myself to understand what she sees in Alaric and Ajax that I don't have. She has always been more connected to him, quite literally and figuratively. There are times when we have moments, Zelda and I, though infinitesimal, but it was always worth the wait. She makes me feel things that I normally would not, and that made me want her for myself all the more.

Lotus waved her hand in the air and enthusiastically beckoned Zelda Upon hearing Lotus’ words, Zelda shook her head, snorted, and threw Lotus’ phone into the drawer. Lotus's expression changed immediately, and she glared at Zelda unhappily. Zelda folded her arms and began to chide Lotus. Zelda has always believed that Quist was the most clingy, but upon being in the couple’s vicinity, she realized that Lotus and Zaire were super clingy with each other. “Don’t even think about it.”

Arena asked. "Yes!!" I admitted. "Then let's go for a run," she suggested. "I'm in," I agreed excitedly. "Wait, I will join you," I heard Lyon’s voice in my mind. He could mind-link with me. "Yes, Selena! Now we are able to talk to each other through this mind link," he said as Zander shifted swiftly.

He dragged me towards the exit while I struggled and screamed, pushing everything in my path to the ground. The kitchen was a mess, and Zelda stood in a corner cowering.

"You won't be able to get through to him using the mind-link. I'm an expert at barrier spells, even if I say so myself." Her voice grates on me and finding my strength again I raise my hands but Zelda already has a plan in action.

I took a deep breath, trying to collect my thoughts. “I can't connect to her through the Mind link, and that's never happened before,” I said. “And, moreover, I have this feeling that Zelda is in danger. But somehow, I can't reach Amelia either.” Zelda's father's eyes widened, and he let out a sharp intake of breath. “Are you saying you think Amelia has something to do with Zelda's disappearance?” he asked, his voice trembling.

Zelda replied, her tone carrying a hint of regret. I sighed softly, feeling a pang of sadness for all the times I had felt lost and isolated. "Yeah, it was tough." "Geez, why did your mom seal me? We could have been besties by now,” Zelda grumbled in annoyance. I chuckled at her words. "I don't think it's too late for that," I reassured her, feeling a sense of warmth knowing that Zelda was finally awake and engaging with me. "Really? That's great then. If we are already besties, take me to Arnou."

Queen Zelda had a chain wrapped around her arm and connected to the chain was a large beast that I had never ever seen before. It had a large snout with rows of teeth arranged in its mouth, curving out of it and displayed on the outside. It roared so loud that I could feel the ground underneath me shake and vibrate. As if his roar was a command, the ground vibrated and I could see a crack beginning to form. It ran from the beast straight between my legs and straight to the infirmary. The ground then began opening up and I had to shift so that I wouldn't fall into the large hole that was beginning to open up.
