I turned to leave, but her voice burst through my head, halting my steps. *Don’t even think about it* Lily growled, wiggling her hands off my hold and clutching her ears as she wailed. "Mummy,” she cried. My brows furrowed in confusion. Lily, can Mind link? I stared at her in horror, taking her up in my arms. “It’s okay, princess," I consoled. “Look at me, look at Mommy," I ushered. She nods, a tear slipping down from her eyes, which I hurriedly wiped away.

“What is this?” Lauryn shot me a look. “Nobody told you about mind linking?” I shook my head. The motion made my ears flap around slightly, and I had to suppress a giggle. “It’s called mind-linking,” the older shifter explained. “All of the wolves who belong to the same pack can do it.” “So you’re saying that I’m a member of the Whitelark pack?” I asked, suddenly serious. Lauryn nodded. “We wouldn’t be able to talk like this if you weren’t.”

A smile of hope grows on Lily’s face for Chloe’s choice to redeem herself. Ian growls and shakes his head at Chloe, who snarls in return. He attempts to walk around her to get to Lily, but she just snaps and gets in his way. They continue to growl and snarl at each other, as if they were having an argument. They were mind linking with each other, and even though Lily doesn't have that ability, she had a hunch of what they were talking about. 'What do you think you're doing Chloe? Get out of my way.' Ian links to his daughter, outraged by her sudden attack.

I hear Xander chirps as he walks in. I ignore him and pound my head, trying to get rid of the noise in my head. He rush towards me and stops me from hitting my head. He nods, I remember Miss Damien also said something about pack-link sometime ago. "What's a pack-link?" "It's a portal in your mind which gives you access to communicate with anyone in this pack!"

I really wasn’t supposed to use pack funds, but if I didn’t fix it soon, it was just going to be a matter of time before the wiring caused a fire. “What are you up to Little One?” I linked Kyra. “I am at Lucy’s, she is determined to make me look like a clown.” She replied back and I could hear the laughter in her voice. I was glad I was now able to connect with her through the pack link. Now I could reach her anytime I needed or even wanted to. It was nice being able to have that connection with her. “Have fun, tell her not to go too crazy. Though you will look beautiful regardless.” I linked her and then headed out of the house.
