SOLD TO THE WEREWOLF KING
We needed the other side of the story.
“The anchor is gone, but the tether remains,” Kaelen said, already moving, pulling me along the pier toward a waiting speedboat bobbing in the grey water, its engine idling. A pack member I didn’t recognize held the lines, his face pale. “The psychic link between Morvana and Lillian is a pathway. We can use it. Not to fight, but to see. To find where her power is anchored in this world, where her true weakness lies.”
“How?” I gasped, stumbling into the boat. The engine revved, and we shot away from the pier, the granary shrinking into a silhouette against the bloody dawn. The sounds of battle faded, swallowed by the wind and the engine’s roar.
