Dragged into the mall by his kid sister, Lily, a bright-eyed girl no older than ten, he hadn’t expected the evening to be anything more than loud noises and overpriced pizza.
“Come on, Zenny,” Lily whined, tugging his arm. “You said today’s mine. No work talk, no business talk. Just fun.”
“Yes, ma’am,” Zenda sighed dramatically. “Where to next, your highness?”
“The gaming zone!”
She practically flew toward the neon-lit floor, dragging Zenda behind her like a reluctant bodyguard.
But as they rounded the final row of machines, Zenda stopped cold.
“Whoa,” he breathed.
