Her cherry-red lipstick gleamed under the office light as she stared at her phone, tapping away like she wasn’t trespassing in his space.
Liam paused in the doorway, dripping water onto the floor. His first instinct was to tell her to leave, but then he noticed the lipstick. The shade of red that demanded attention. And, despite his self-restraint, it worked. He was turned on.
Stacey’s head raised when she felt his eyes on her. She dropped her phone onto his desk and adjusted herself in the chair. “You took long enough,” she complained, her accent sharp but slurred with impatience. “Busy saving lives while letting me rot over here?”
