I felt the weight of his grief too. I drove home and sat on my couch and stared at the flash drive. Everything I needed was right there. Everything I needed to expose Victor Hill was in my hands but like he said, it wasn't enough. My phone rang and it was Jackson. I stared at the screen for three rings before I answered. "Hello," I answered coldly. "Hi Lisa," he greeted breathlessly. "I need you to come to the Hill’s residence, right now. I need you to help me with something," he whispered into the phone.

I jumped and unconsciously pressed closer to Jordan, he wrapped his arms around me and held me tight. "Jackson!" Jordan barked. I looked up at Jordan in time to see him give Jack a pointed look in my direction. "How are we supposed to do this, Jordan? We can't even get to the bottom of her fears without her having a panic attack," he asked, his voice sounding hopeless. My shame began to swallow me up and I laid my head on Jordan's chest trying to hold back the tears. "Lizzie's a tough girl, Jack, she can handle it. We just gotta help her past her fears," Jordan said calmly.

*** (Flashback) Years ago, in a dimly lit room, a woman named Lisa found herself standing before a lifeless body submerged in a pool of blood. Just as she was processing the shocking scene, a man stumbled in, his expression filled with disbelief. "Jesus Christ, Lisa! I explicitly told you to extract information, not to kill him," the man exclaimed, his voice filled with a mix of anger and astonishment. With a calm demeanor, Lisa turned to face him and replied, "I did get the information."

" Troublesome " A single word was enough to turn her blood cold. Her eyes snapped open more out of shock than fear this time. Before she stood none other than the gorgeous blond-haired Adonis she had met before. His blue eyes stared at her in disgust. Lisa was quick to notice the man that had once been her tormentor now slumped on the floor, in a red puddle of his blood. There was so much of it, that Lisa herself was drenched in it. That thought was sobering and made her nauseous. It felt like hours later when the closet door slowly opened, and Jackson stood at the entrance. His chest was bare now, and the dressing on his side wasn’t in place. She could see the top of what looked like an infected animal bite. When her eyes lowered to his hands to see if he still had claws, she saw blood on his fingertips instead. The reality of her situation hit home. This wasn’t the first time she’d seen blood on him, so Jackson was indeed a murderer. Maybe that was why he had been so blase about his conversation with Dylan about getting rid of her.

Jackson went towards the wooden box placed on the ground. "I want to see him. One last time." He said with a drowning voice. A warrior came near the box and then opened it. Jackson sat on the ground as he was defeated in the race of his life. He saw Jason's eyes closed. It felt like he was sleeping. He moved his hand to touch Jason's face. Jackson's hands were shaking. He touched his face, it was so cold. "Why is he so cold?" He asked the warrior. Werewolves' bodies never get cold. If they die their bodies remain warm.

Jordyn's POV I saw her through the hidden camera so perfectly hidden behind a clear tile. I saw her shiver and bundle herself. I saw her looking for her escape. She wouldn't find it. She looked so small in the hole as she stood on her tip toes and found the grooves to the door with no handle, no way out. As I waited for her panic to set in all I noticed was how she was oddly calm. She appeared to be in and out of sleep. She must be exhausted. She bundled her sack into a makeshift pillow and drifted off.
