Laying it out on the floor, I settle on my stomach. "Who wants to colour with me? I have the prettiest yellow ever!" I gasp dramatically, scribbling random lines with the bright yellow highlighter. I could feel the three Alphas just staring at me like I'm a little tapped in the head. Perhaps I am, but my method works. The toddlers come rushing over to inspect the colour for themselves, settling down and helping me draw as I share out the bright pens. "Look." Little Milo says as he shows me his crinkled drawing.

Abigail immediately cheered, doing small jumps on the mattress. "What does the Little Miss want to do now? Eat or play?" Moza asked, smiling warmly. "I want to eat chocolate pudding while I draw." As requested, Moza hurried to the kitchen to fetch the chocolate pudding she had prepared. When she returned, she found Abigail absorbed in her drawing book. Her work was simple, typical of a preschooler. There were three figures with round heads and wide smiles. A little girl stood in the middle, flanked by a male figure on the left and a female figure on the right. They were holding hands, like a harmonious little family.

Trembling with fear, Lilian stood at the entrance of the bedroom, unable to move, and watched as two naked men appeared out of nowhere. The two men were tied back-to-back with nylon ropes. Their clothes were thrown aside, and a section of their hair was shaved bald, which looked ridiculously funny. Their mouths were taped shut, and their faces were drawn with various cartoon characters - SpongeBob SquarePants, Doraemon, Snoopy, Mickey Mouse - and there were also drawings of hamburgers, ice cream, and dresses... How did someone manage to draw so many patterns on their faces? How did the artist come up with so many childish designs?

I would wait till the end. It has been weeks since I have drawn someone's cartoon. Perhaps I only do it when I am sad and happy at the same time. This time, I want to draw a cartoon for Remo. The name alone brings calmness to me. I start from his head and then his round eyes.

How convenient that the tree he drew happened to almost resemble the acorn tree I had plucked the frisbee from.

Honestly, it fit my mood. The first thing my fingers found was a crayon drawing. Darius made it in kindergarten. A messy little sketch of stick figures—me and him—holding hands. The bottom said “Bezt frends forever.” I laughed through the tears, brushing one from my cheek. God, we were so young. I kept unpacking, lining the stuff up in the order I’d gotten it. Most of it was old. Faded. But it all felt like yesterday. There were tons of drawings. The boy could draw like a damn goddess. He always could.

Before Darius could protest, the little boy was already pulling him toward the living room, The coffee table was covered in crayons, toy cars, and sheets of paper scattered in colorful chaos. Liam climbed onto the couch and grabbed one of the papers proudly. “I made this!” Darius sat beside him and took the drawing. Three stick figures stood side by side. One tall, one small, and one with long hair. Liam pointed at them proudly.“This is you ”Then he tapped the smallest one “And this is me.” Finally, he pointed to the third figure “And this is Mommy.” Darius felt something tighten painfully in his chest. “Ariana” he said softly,

Chapter thirty-three Anabelle Pov The hall was noisy, the moderators were discussing with each other. While other members were whispering. I couldn't think about the noise. I closed my eyes and started mapping out the drawing found. I drew the mountains first, filling it with amber color, the mountain was filled with different giant trees. After properly drawing the mountain I drew the moon-bird. It was so fine to my eyes, I couldn't believe I was able to draw the same art work and it was better than the previous one.

"You just earned yourself another Friday afternoon with me." I groaned and turned to face the front, catching a last glimpse of Luca's punch-me grin. I held on to either side of my wooden desk, mapped out in doodles. Most of them were my handiwork, such as cute animals and blossom designs etched in a ballpoint pen to pass the time.
