As we entered I was amazed by the view in front of me. Nestled in a cozy corner, the small garden is a delightful oasis of charm. Petite blossoms burst forth in a kaleidoscope of pastels, while dainty vines embrace the edges, creating a soft frame for the scene. Lush green foliage dances in the breeze, while vibrant blooms paint the landscape with hues of red, blue, and gold.

The private garden had become Caelian’s preferred place in the palace. High walls kept the noise of the courtyards at a distance. The old apple trees threw shifting patterns of shade across the gravel paths and the low stone bench he favoured. Late morning light filtered through the leaves in soft gold patches. A light shawl rested around his shoulders against the mild chill that still clung to the air. In his lap sat a small length of soft linen and a pair of fine bone needles. The shape forming under his hands was unmistakably a tiny shirt, the seams still open, the neckline only half worked, but clear enough in purpose that any passerby would understand what it was meant for.

"Let's not make him wait any longer." The garden is small and intimate, just like we planned. Tucked away from the world, surrounded by trees, with the faint scent of lavender and roses drifting in the air. A few rows of white chairs draped in simple linen, and the only sounds are the rustle of leaves and soft music playing. And then I see him.
